Thanks Mottie you ahve been wonderful help

My welcome page works wonders.. all I need ot is to figure out how to make the welcome tab go blank in the Site pages box and to see if the image on the front which we click to enter would work the same if it  showed random EQ pictures as an image?  Am thinking of having random Guild Members pictures

Also would it be possible for only those who are registered and logged in to be able to enter.. if they aren't registered could it go to another page which would ask them to register or log in?

I know I don't ask for much do I

LOL Manenu you're trying to keep me busy!
  1. Hiding the Welcome tab button... I explained how to do this is the first post of this thread... basically replace the image buttons with blank images, you'll see

  2. Making a random welcome screen image would require the code I have in this post. Just place the "<div id="banner" align=center></div>" at the top of the script where you want the image to end up.

  3. Restructing access would probably require you making another tab just to log in to the site... then if you really wanted to restrict access to the pages, you'd have to make all your tabs set to members only (except the welcome and log in tab). It'll take a little work, but it is possible

  4. EQ recruitment box... I'll work on that too

1. hiding the welcome tab.. I copied what was there and It doesnt seem to work.. not sure what I missed

2. Ill take a look at the psot and work on that

3. restructting access .. sounds like a good challenge Ill work on it

4. EQ box .. its EQ 1 hun not EQ2 .. yes some of us do play EQ1 still lol

I do appreciate it..  once its complete and live I hope to be a spotlight guild

It seems my banner is still there on my welcome page. I think that has something to do with how my CSS put it there. Would there be any way to hide it? Great idea by the way thanks a ton!

Have a look:

Well. Maybe it isn't showing the same thing for you as it is me. I don't have anything to take a screenshot with =(

For the splash screen all I wanted it to show was the icon in the middle and the two coloumns on the side. What I see is that plus the website banner (which I don't want, plus it gets in the way of the normal icon.)

I'm not sure if that is a good enough description or if we are seeing two diffrent things. Know a good program to take screenshots?

Ummm you have photoshop right? hehe... just press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard, then open a new file and paste the clipboard into it.

And I see it only does that with Internet Explorer and not Firefox

Edit: And I found out why...

You added this in your Custom CSS:
#ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_PageContainer { position: relative; top: -5px; overflow: hidden; background: url("http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/277894/banner.jpg") no-repeat top center; }
Just use (I only changed the text in red)
.BannerArea { position: relative; top: -5px; overflow: hidden; background:url("http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/277894/banner.jpg") no-repeat topcenter; }

Great thinking! I'm such a doofus!

Ok here is what I see.

See the banner in the background? I don't want it there, just the sides. Like this!

(I photoshopped it)

Well. I made the change, but it seems to not be the exact same thing.

If I use

#ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_PageContainer { position: relative; top: -5px; overflow: hidden; background: url("http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/277894/banner.jpg") no-repeat top center; }

it does the -5px, if not then and it pushes everything down under the statebar. If you look normally it is underneath it. Also it cuts away the faded part of the banner that the buttons set on. Any way I can keep it's positon using .BannerArea?
