Getting Started!

Hi Mottie,

I think im a little new at this but i get the basics. Tell me what im doing wrong here. I copied the script and put it in a freeform/html box on my calendar page, but all i get is is my regular calendar page with the freeform/html box content under the calendar displaying the script code..  Is there somewhere else i should be copying the code to? Im lost please help me if u can

Hi Dajinxxx!

It sounds like you pasted the code while in design mode (). Click on the HTML mode button () in the bottom left of the editor, then paste the code. Alternatively, you can right click on the editor window and use "Paste Plain Text" - I used to tell people to use "Paste As Html" which I found out recently was wrong! Try that and see if it works, if not, please share a link to your website so I can help.

Hi Kennymack007!

Actually your calendar is working, you're missing the tooltip script and some styling. Add this line to your Banner HTML or Footer HTML:
<script src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/243007/dtips.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
And you need to replace your Calendar CSS to make everything more visible... I've modified the background images and CSS to match your site. Copy the CSS below and replace the CSS on your site.
<style type="text/CSS">
.sideCalendar { border: #a9a9a9 1px solid; }
.sideCalendarMySignups { background: url(http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa236/Mottie1/testsite/styles/cell2.gif); height:15px; font-size:8pt; cursor: pointer; }
.sideCalendarMonthTitleContainer { background: url(http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa236/Mottie1/testsite/styles/cell2.gif); height:10px; font-size:7pt; }
.sideCalendarMonthTitle, .sideCalendarMonthTitle a { padding: 5px; }
.sideCalendarDaysofWeek { background: #f0ede6; border: #a9a9a9 1px solid; border-collapse: collapse; }
.sideCalendarDaysofMonth { background: #f0ede6 url(http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa236/Mottie1/testsite/styles/cell2.gif); min-width:22px; font-size:8pt; border:#a9a9a9 1px solid; padding:2px;}
.sideCalendarDaysOutsideThisMonth { background: #c6baa5 url(http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa236/Mottie1/testsite/styles/cell2-out.gif); color: #444444; }
.sideCalendarEvent { background: #d6cbde url(http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa236/Mottie1/testsite/styles/cell2-evt.gif); font-weight:bold; cursor: pointer; }
.sideCalendarToday { background: #cedfce url(http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa236/Mottie1/testsite/styles/cell2-today.gif); font-weight:bold; }
.sideCalendarTooltipTitle { color: #8c0d0d; }

.toolTipHeader{ color:#8c0d0d; font-weight:700; }
#dhtmltooltip { position: absolute; width: 150px; border: #a9a9a9 1px solid; padding: 3px; background: #f0ede6; color: #000000; visibility: hidden; z-index: 100; }

.mainCalendar { border: #a9a9a9 1px solid; }

Hi Kennymack007!

Ok, I looked at your site and I noticed that you replaced everything with the CSS I posted above. You only needed to replace the stuff between the <style>.... </style> part of the code.

I don't want to repost the whole code, so go back and look at the post here... copy everything below the closing style tag "</style>" - basically everything between (and including) the <script>.... </script>.

And i put your Calendar Icons 1.2 Code in a Free Form text/html box Right under my Calendar Box.

Still No dice, I even Tried putting the tooltip code in my Banner, and free form calendar box.

BTW- i apprietiate the design change you made for me, But i had 3 guildys tell me today the site was hard to read.  So i changed the whole color Scheme.

Hey Kennymack007!

Ok, now you have me confused. When I go to your calendar page, it looks like it's working perfectly to me. What is it you are thinking that it should be doing?
