Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post

Hey Vodoobanshee,
I've started just putting all of the code into a free form text/HTML content box. It's easier to have all the code together for posting, but if you want you can add the CSS into your custom stylesheet. But the reason I stopped telling people this is because if you
don't
already have a custom stylesheet and you're using the built in GuildPortal theme selector/editor, adding a custom stylesheet will ignore all your choices through the editor.
When you paste script, CSS or HTML into a free form text/HTML box, make sure you're in edit mode (
) or you right click and use the "Paste as Html" option.
Avandius,
If you want to paste javascript into a forum post, you must colorize the word "script". I've also recently found that any instances of "" will also be hidden if it's in the script. So basically just colorize it (I'll use blue below to show you what I do)... see the example below:
<
script
>
blah blah blah
docum
ent.wr
ite (blah);
</
script
>
I hope that helps!

I fixed an error in the searchbox javascript and updated it on my GuildPortal file site. It was causing the built-in GuildPortal tooltips to not work if you had a search box on that page.
There is
no need to do anything
if you copied the Search Box script as it is in the top post. If you copied the search box script file (searchbox.js) that was referenced in the last line of the script to your own site, then update it with
this version
.
