Hi Ciran81!

You're missing the tooltip script that was removed from GuildPortal a while back... just add the following to your header or footer HTML:
<script src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/243007/dtips.js" type="text/javascript"></script> Deleted!
UPDATED! Use this code to add tooltips:
<style type="text/css">
.tooltip, .preview, .screenshot { cursor:pointer; }
#tooltip, #tooltip2, #preview, #screenshot { color:#dddddd; background:#222222; border: 1px solid #333333; padding:5px; display:none; opacity: 0.9; filter: alpha(opacity=90); text-align:left; border-radius: 1em; -moz-border-radius: 1em; }
</style>
<script src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/258012/tooltip.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
And if you look at the customization instructions above, you'll see that you can change the link from recruitme.com to your forums where people can fill out an application - the variable is called "linkToRecruitmentPost".

Edited (1/4/2010): Don't use the old tooltip code, use the updated code/CSS above.

Hi Ciran81!

It appears you have the script on your page twice. The second one is in the Custom JQuery box and lower on the page therefore it's classrq variables are overriding the variables in your recruiting box. So all you need to do is remove the copy in the Custom JQuery box (Control Panel > Custom Code > Custom JQuery)

Hi AllieBom!

I haven't updated this code in a while, but the tooltip background and color is based on a new tooltip script. Adjust the style using this CSS and script.
<style type="text/css">
.tooltip, .preview, .screenshot { cursor:pointer; }
#tooltip, #tooltip2, #preview, #screenshot {
 color:#dddddd;
 background:#222222;
 border: 1px solid #333333;
 padding:5px;
 display:none;
 opacity: 0.9;
 filter: alpha(opacity=90);
 text-align:left;
 border-radius: 1em;
 -moz-border-radius: 1em;
 -webkit-border-radius: 1em;
}
</style>
<script src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/258012/tooltip.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
Oh, and remove the old "dtips.js" script if you've added it.

Getting Started!

I am helping my friend with their site set up and they are wanting something slightly in a different format than this, but with the same concept.

What they are wanting is more of a vertical layout that shows the class and then the spec icons.  The spec icons would have a mouseover that displayed the name of the spec (ie Balance, Feral, Restro, etc.)  These would be different colors depending on the recruiting level (high - green, medium - yellow, low - red, none - greyed out).  Would also like the icon of the spec to change level of opacity to match the recruiting level as well (high - 100%, medium - 70%, low - 40%, none - 20%), similar to the class icon with this that changes to 30% when not recruiting.

Something like:

.low {opacity: 1; filter: alpha(opacity=100); color: #0F0; }
.medium {opacity: .7; filter: alpha(opacity=70); color: #FF0; }
.low {opacity: .4; filter: alpha(opacity=40); color: #F00; }
.none {opacity: .2; filter: alpha(opacity=20); color: #999; }

The layout would look something like this:

Druid
Mage

But when you moused over the spec icon you would get something like Balance or Feral depending on the recruiting status.

I am sure this is doable, but for the life of me can't get it to work.  I am sure I am missing a common or bracket close somewhere.  You were able to help me before so was hoping you could again.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Zombiehunter!

That is a very cool idea... I spent some time working on it and I posted the result in this thread.
