Hi CandaraQueen!

  • I'm sorry I sent you to a very old topic and the code you have shouldn't be used. Get the updated method from this post.

  • It appears you are trying to make your own medals? I'm not sure why you'd need to do this, but this is what the updated code should look like, using your example:
<span class="tooltip" title="<div class=tooltipheader>Guild Leader</div>This is for achieving Guild Leader Status'><img src="http://candaraguardians.guildportal.com/Layout2006/CP/Awards/Star%20Set%202/award_star_gold_2.png"></span>
  • For the shout box scrolling, it appears that the <script type="text/javascript"> and </script> was included in the code that went into the custom jQuery section. All of these HTML tags need to be removed because it is causing an error.

Yes finally got that scrolling shout box thing fixed LOL.

No what i was using was the medals that came with GP.   Member Management>Medals>Import Medals>Medal Set 1-3 and Star Set 1-3.  Again so all i did was import them and assigned them to what they were and then showed up on the roster after they had been awarded... and ty for the code, tho im still not sure where to put it.. ill read that post link u gave me and see if its on there

oh also forgot to ask, on that Slide-in menu link that u gave me, i downloaded the zip file and the docs inside i THINK i added them right. i went to file management and uploaded em (like i had tried to do with my background that wouldnt work, but fyi these did) but then in step2 it says:

"Step 2:
Finally, insert the below code into the <head> section of your page" where exactly is the <head> part of the page that i need to add this code to? i dont wanna just add it anywhere and have it mess up whatever else ive done

also, is it possible that with this menu, if i edit the "ssmItems.js" file like it says for all configurations to the menu are done inside it, will i be able to use the look of the current tabs just on the side menu?

Normal Tab 1
Selected Tab 2

I know im a pain but sometimes the directions arent all that clear XD

Hi CandaraQueen!

We don't have access to the <head> of the page, but it shouldn't matter because you can add that code to your Footer HTML (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Script > Footer HTML).

Sadly the slide-in menu won't allow you to have the tab images. I'm not exactly sure what you wanted in your side menu then.

Again ty so much for ur help so far! Also (yea yea i know i just keep on asking XD LOL) i was looking into the Slide-In Menu again and was actually trying to implement it, and i put it in the footer area like u said (and yes i enabled it) but for some reason its still not working. yes i did change some stuff in the ssmItems document, because on the site it says to do that but maybe i got something wrong? would u please take a look and tell me if i did mess it up somehow? i mean i uploaded em like i thought i was supposed to.. (Control Panel>General Settings & Tools>File Manager>Upload Files) did i do THAT wrong too? i really appreciate all ur help mottie! ^.^

Hi CandaraQueen!

  • I had to modify the Moving the state bar code, so just replace the new code with what you added before. It doesn't include the bullets in front, but I didn't think you'd care if they disappeared.

  • As for your side menu, there are a few things that need fixing:

    Footer HTML Code needs the full file location in the script (new parts in red)
    <style type="text/css">
    A.ssmItems:link        {color:black;text-decoration:none;}
    A.ssmItems:hover    {color:black;text-decoration:none;}
    A.ssmItems:active    {color:black;text-decoration:none;}
    A.ssmItems:visited    {color:black;text-decoration:none;}
    </style>

    <script src="
    http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/381058/ssm.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script src="
    http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/381058/ssmitems.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    ssmitems.js file needs these changes:
    barBGColor="transparent";

    barWidth=
    40; // no quotes!!
    barText=
    "<IMG src='http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa219/Widow-Of-D00m/functions.png'>";

Hi CandaraQueen!

For some reason the bullet was changed back into the symbol, try pasting the code into the Editor while in Raw mode (link in the upper right corner)

So basically &bull; needs to become

Hey Mottie.

1. Is it possible to put two widgets in the same area? Like the center can be such a big area and id want to put like the RoM Database search widget and another (lets just say an info box) side by side in the center section?

 _______________
| ROM DATABASE |
| ROM DATABASE |
| ROM DATABASE |
| ROM DATABASE |
|  INFORMATION   |
|  INFORMATION   |
|  INFORMATION   |
|  INFORMATION   |

^ Normal ^

 _____________________________
| ROM DATABASE |  INFORMATION |
| ROM DATABASE |  INFORMATION |
| ROM DATABASE |  INFORMATION |
| ROM DATABASE |  INFORMATION |

^What i am talking about ^
but inside the center middle part of the page.

2. i got the medal pop up thingy to work so it displays what they are and larger from ur site but still doesnt cut down on the space used for someone who has a gagillion of em. one quick question tho, since the widget has NOTHING in it (since i used a free form text/html widget) how do i hide that widget? im going to have to play with the new tooltips and modules to get this right.... yea yea yea i know i ask so much but its not for me its for my guild and i make it as easily workable (for them) as i can
