Getting Started!

I have an external script I'm using for image management.
You can see it in the "screenies" section on our site. So that people in guild can upload images, I have a separate page that only members can see that passes the username along so that images can be tagged with the appropriate username. Problem is that to allow guildies to post and regular people to see, I have to have two separate pages, which means two separate links on the main nav bar.  I'd rather just have one link on the nav bar - starting to get cluttered.

I'm currently using a free-form text page with an iframe that points tosomething like http://host/scriptname.php?username=$block[username]

So, is it possible to pass membership status (ie. member, not a member, or anything else) to an external script?

I thought about just doing a check to see if the person has a username, but then I assume anyone with a guildportal account could post. Is that correct?

Oh and if anyone wants the detail on my image script - I'll be happy to pass them along, I wrote it in about 2 hours. It's not pretty, and it's not secure, but we're low profile enough that I don't worry about it too much.
