Hmm, I think I know what it might be...

The cached file might have the time/date of when you uploaded the files, so to the script it appears as if the EPGP data was just added. So it didn't update the blank page for 6 hours (that's the refresh time). So...

If anyone else has this problem, try setting your
$refresh = 0
for the very first time you load the page, then change it to whatever time interval you desire.

Thanks again for all your help.

Unfortunately, I can't test the scripting solution you sent me right now, but I think I've found a different error.

We recently did a backup to EPGP that contained no loot.  This causes the "Loot since Previous Snapshot" to be totally missing, which results in some totally messed up scrapes.  The epgp standings page is blank, and the loot page contains the standings and all the ads.

Results in...

I've starred an enhancement request on their development forums to provide a page that has total guild loot history (rather than just loot since previous snapshot).  When that is implemented, I expect that scraping that page would be more reliable.  And might enable setting up a parameter for how many items to scrape (i.e. keep the most recent 10 items).

(I wish I was a better coder so I could actually troubleshoot this stuff myself :-) )

Hi JChaps!

Wow I totally forgot about preventing that error! Thaks for pointing it out... so now I've updated the epgp.zip file with updated epgp.php and epgp-loot.php files. Now the loot page should just show a message saying "No Loot Data Available"

Ok... getting the "No Loot Available" properly.  Thanks for that!

The standings page is showing as blank, though.

Hi JChaps!

LOL Ok I think I have all the bases covered now. Sorry about the trouble.

I uploaded a new zip file, all you should need to replace is the "epgp.php" file and edit the URL inside, the data should already be available so no need to set your $refresh timer to zero.

Hey guys,
I am seriously lost. When at first this EPGP implementation came on, I did it and it worked perfectly. However I moved the site to another host and had to redo the whole thing. Now both files just show "No Data Available"and thats it. I waited for 6 hours for it to refresh but still no luck. Can u help me.

Hi KonstantinB!

The problem with these files is that they run on the server, so there really isn't any way for me to troubleshoot the problem. I can say that the epgp.htm file doesn't exist, so you will need to copy it into the same directory as the epgp.php and epgp-loot.php files and set the file permissions.

Other than that, all I can say is make sure the epgpweb address you are using is correct, and next time set the $refresh to 0 (zero) so you don't have to wait the six hours to make sure that it's working.

Hi all!

I am useing my own provider. I have tried to set the $refresh to 0. It gave me a php EM so i set the epgp.php like this:

$myepgp = 'http://www.epgpweb.com/guild/eu/Bloodscalp/Ancestry/';
$refresh = 60 * 6; // 360 minutes (6 hours)

The epgp.php gave me the EM "No Loot Data Available" for six hours and now this is the EM:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /mnt/storage/virtual/ancestry-guild.info/htdocs/epgp/epgp.php on line 97

The line 97 is:
$ch = curl_init($this->apiURI);

Please Help
