Ok, it seems to be getting worse about stripping out scripts... sometimes now the preview mode trick doesn't even work. =(

Ug... Is this some specific content type?  I've done the following with info sections and welcome messages, with and without switching to/from Design/Html view, and it's saved:

01.<script type="text/javascript">
02.var function1 = function() {
03.// is here
04.}
05.</script>
06.<script type="text/javascript">
07.var function2 = function() {
08.// is also here
09.}
10.</script>

Hi Aaron!

I haven't even been messing around with info sections or welcome messages, all my comments were about free form text/HTML type content boxes.

Just now when I tested the sample you posted, it worked fine; but when I changed it to the example below, it stripped out the second function (everything in red):
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://somesite.com/file.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var function2 = function() {
// is also here
}
</script>

Update: Hmmm ok apparently, when you click save in the editor it saves and on callback it displays the content again, but apparently this calledback content is getting stripped. If you close and re-open the editor, the full content is still there. Does that make sense?

Ohh... Getting stripped when being displayed on-page?  Or still at the editor level?

I am curious, did the update include more ads? I noticed that my forum page now has been pushed to the left. It seems as though the right (empty) column now has an ad as well.

Ignore my last question, Mottie -- found the cause.

I don't know if the fix for the problem that you found is included in tonights push, but I still have the problem with Free Form/HTML boxes stripping out anything after a "script src line" line. Also, I don't see what Mottie sees, that you see the content if you close and open again, it's gone for me, and the page tab I use isn't modified by the script in the box.

<script src="src.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Okay, try this -- put your in-line scripts ahead of any external script files you're loading.  I have no idea why, but it seems to work around whatever the editor is doing.  Let me know if that does it for you.  Won't be the end of it, but it'll be one step closer...

Haha, yeah, it worked.

Thanks for the help, and thanks for all the speedy support and development of GP, and Happy Anniversary!.
