Getting Started!

I run two guildportal sites:

Both of which crapped out on me and started showing all sorts of graphical glitches, cutting out borders and what not after I tried to implement a welcome widget into either of them.

Anyone have any theories on this?

Here are two images, one of each page.

Notice the widgets are entirely missing on the right side of both pages, yet in the control panel they are indeed there.

Spelunked through the forums further, found the solution, hidden code from word pasted into the welcome widget, deletion of the welcome page did not remove the code, causing the break in the page.

Fixed now, solution was here:

Have you edited only the Default portion of the Welcome widget? Have you altered the other Rank settings? The Welcome widget will retain whatever code was placed in there even if the widget itself is removed. So as soon as you place it back in, if any odd code remains, it may mess with the rest of the site.

Open the Welcome widget, switch to HTML mode (<>HTML at the bottom of the editor), and make sure no code exists in all the "Editing Welcome for:" pages (you'll need to switch to HTML mode each time you select a different Rank page).
