Aaron, would it be possible to add a new access level, "non-menber only" and can you add access to individual content types instead of to whole pages?

The reason for this is that I'd like to add one of the nifty welcome messages and other freeform content that would be visible to only to non-members.  My biggest problem with those welcome boxes is that current members have to look at them every time they come to the site too.  By being able to set a welcome box or freeform html content box to "non-members only", only those not logged into the site would see them.

I'm sorta new at this guys, but i understand what he's wanting to do, and i've been wondering the same thing myself.
So far the only way i can come up with to solve this issue is to haveeveryone bookmark the GP home page and login there. If you hit yourwebsite from GP's home, and assuming you are logged in before doing so,you will see the correct page for your individual status.
Outside of doing this, i can't figure out a way to get around this either.
I'm the webmaster, officer and assistant-GL, and i STILL have to viewthe "welcome" page for non-members. I've tried deleting the defaultpage hoping this would force a proper view, but i still keep seeing the"non-member" elements...

Just my 2 cents

Untill you log in you will see the None member elements that is a fact of html life. It does not have a brain that can tell that you are you untill you notify it that you are you. Now as far as seeing the nonmember stuff once you have logged in I agree, there is no current possible way to have no welcome message at all. It would greatly increase site customization to be able to select some entire elements to be not viewable to to the public or reverse not viewable to members. I personally don't have an issue with the welcoem message as I have personalized it for each member level and like the way it is set up. But I can understand that a person might only use the message for non members and want the box to disapear totally for those of us who have logged in and are a member of the guild.
