After seeing some non-guildportal calendars, I'd sure like to see some changes in ours.  First, the calendars I saw on some guild sites have boxes for each day and show text in the boxes.  They also allow for non-event text to be scheduled.

Right now, if I want to add anything to our calendar, it must be an event.  Maybe I just want to list a birthday of a member or some other text.  Also, since we only have numbers with an asterisk to indicate something on that day, members have to click on the day to see the text.  Larger calendars with a box for each day allow members to quickly glance over the calendar and find information.

Yes, but the old calendar is bugged.  It doesn't display the time properly for the time zones.  We had been using it on my website, until this was brought to my attention.  Switched to the Enhanced and it fixed it.

I agree with the Original Poster.  The one thing I hear over and over from the Members, the casual users who don't know all the workings of the site, is that the calendar is subpar and they don't understand why I won't leave Guildportal for something better.  (They don't realize there IS nothing better, with or without a crappy calendar    )
