Okay, in WoW, we have a guild bank. GuildPortal recently announced apartnership with Allakazham. I would think one could be able to put thetwo together easily enough. Here's how:

1. Mark given members as 'mules'. These alts are just to hold bankitems. If they own it, it is 'in the bank'. This eliminates all manualtracking of what is in the bank.

2. Link to Allakazham for all items. Instead of the existing importfunctions, just have mouseovers pop-up the proper item in the usualformat. This eliminates all manual entry of new items.

3. Provide diffs of the items each time a upload happens. All new itemscoming in, are added automaticly. All items no longer in the bank, arelogged as transactions that need to be accounted for by the bankerusing the normal 'sold to xxx' tools.

4. Maybe see about making mods to wowreader to track in/out items? Readmail coming in to credit the one giving the item and deduct from theone that something is mailed out to? Same with trade screens?

And they call this support?

From what I've been told from CS, GuildPortal no longer supports Allakazham's wowreader thing.

We use rpgoutfitter with great success and no real ongoing maintenance following initial setup (which is not too tasking).

I think the point he is making is that his support has not been answered, yes or no.

I know I posted something here about FFXI, and have yet to recieve a response.  I also send in a feature request at least once a week about for the last 2 months, and have yet to receive a response.

I've getting rather dissatisfied with the lack of support from guildportal.  I pay my premium, and I enjoy what they offer with it, but if they can't even answer a simple request, yes, no, we got it and we'll think about it... nothing.

OT.  Thanks for the tip on rpgoutfitter.  I've been looking for an alternative myself.

I would also highly recommend rpgo outfitter for both bank and roster functionality.  It is truly awesome and once set up requires almost zero intervention to keep up to date.

You can also use their remote services feature to build their page directly into your guild portal page.  for an example of how it looks, check out my roster and bank pages below

Fingers of Fury!

i havent tried outfitter before, but has a lot of success with WoWroster.  it links your armor/skills/bank slots/ pvp information (optional) as well as some other stats in game... cant remember off the top of my head.  My only problem is uploading it into guild portal.  on a personal webpage, its easy.  but i asked here already and sent the DEV's a link for it, so cross your fingers

Haven't seen Wowroster, but RPGOutfitter is active on development and have great funcionality. I'd recommend them, especially for sorting out bankalts.

Oh, and Markstrader, I totally worship your website!

Becoming Adept!

I like the Fruit Loops site a lot. But I'm new to add-ons and GuildPortal. Not very computer savvy either, come to think of it. Can someone give very nice RPG Outfitter-for-Dummies instructions? The more I look at these forums, and the links people give, the more I want to make our guild website better.
