Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post
.

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

I was wondering how people place the greeting like:
Hello, Gumdroppe!
(insert your name
)
Into their homepage boxes??
Thanks in advance!!

I don't think we can change the very top where it says, "Welcome, login_name"
In my Welcome box, I just used the Block variable:
$block[username]
in the spot I wanted it to place the currently logged in person's account name.

Fingers of Fury!
Is there a way to put something like "GUEST" in if they are not logged into a Guildportal account?

Indeed you can.
Edit the Welcome box content and from the "Editing Welcome for:" menu, select Default or Public.
Then put something in the content like:
"Welcome Guest! We hope you enjoy your visit to our web site..."
I am not yet sure why there is a Default & a Public. However, if you have anything in Public, it negates anything in Default. Either are presented to visitors to the site who have not logged in. Maybe Public is for those who login but are not members of the site.

As I understand it, default is just that, default. That is, it shows for any group that does not have a custom message defined. I put my public information in Public and my members-only information (e.g. Ventrilo server & password) in the Default message, so all associates/members/officers/etc. get the private info, while the Public message overrides it for non-members.
