Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post
.

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

Becoming Adept!
Hello everyone,
I've been in many guilds during my years of MMO's and alot of those guild's shared a common issue, lack of interest in their guild website. This is usually due to the Web Designer not really taking the time to keep it current, updated, and most importantly, interesting!
So something that really caught my eye was this following guild's backround, I've looked high and low trying to figure out how they made it move like that, logging onto their site just catches the eye and pulls me in. I want my guild's website to have a similar effect on people once I am finished with it. (I've got a long way to go!)
Link to the eye catching backround:

How did they make their backround move like that?

That background is set by using a'GIF' animated picture instead of a traditional static .jpg
If you 'view page source' on that site, you'll notice at the top, in the CSS style sheet there's a line:
body {background: url('http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m193/xxmiss_understoodxx/background.gif')
which is the actual reference to the Gif file. You can make this by updating your own custom CSS.
One word of caution about animated backgrounds thou:
They may be cool, but can get really tiring on the viewer after a while, kinda like having one of those older flickering fluorescent lamps on you desk.
Staying on that site for 30 minutes, and I'd start having a headache.. pretty cool effect thou.
Perhaps you can add two versions of the background with a little javascript button on the top, so the users can choose the 'static' or the animated version to their liking.
Cheers!
