I normally don't suggest using a program (except for addons for Firefox), but I found this really nice one that helps you edit and learn CSS. I've added the link in the post above as well.

It's called Stylize (and the scary part is that it's Canadian! *blink*)

The basic version is free (and probably good enough) to do what you need. I honestly wouldn't pay the $79 they want for the "Ultimate" version.

Watch the videos on the site - especially watch the video about the Bullseye feature:
  • Sadly, this feature is part of the paid version, so you'll only be able to use it for the first 14 days 
  • But, I think you should be able to get a good idea of what is available on your site in that amount of time.
  • And also, the bullseye feature is very similar to what the Firebug addon for Firefox can do, so you should still be able to find the class name/id you are looking for that way.
