GuildPortal has added tooltips from WoWDigger.com, but only on the Calendar page.These tooltips are used in the loot drops section of the eventcalendar. But you can also use it in the forums, if you add the script below:

All your members haveto do is type in the name of the item, as follows:

[item type="preload"]Cloak of darkening[/item]
[item type="preload"]Dragon Hide Bag[/item]
[item type="preload"]Satchel of Spoils[/item]

Advantages:
  1. Your members can use an [item] tag to link to the tooltip, so there's no need to go into HTML mode to add the quality class that the WoWHead.com tooltips require.
  2. If you add type="preload" it will automatically change the item qualitycolor on page load. Otherwise, it won't change until you hover over thelink, then the link automatically changes froma link to search for an item to a direct link with item quality color.
Disadvantages:
  1. You have to hover over the link to get the color change.
  2. WoWDigger sucks - it currently doesn't have any comments about items nor the location from where the item drops.
  3. WoWDigger also has a list of who is wearing the item... I don't know how this information is beneficial (but that's a personal opinion)

Why WoWDigger instead of Wowhead? i dare to say wowdigger is a ghost town

I actually have wowhead tooltips currently working on my forums and it works very nicely.

Here's how:

1. Add text below to Banner custom code:

2. Add text below to Footer Custom code by entering it and clicking the <> for HTML view:

<script src"http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/243007/dtips.js type=text/javascript></script>

3. Once that is done all you need to do is link directly to an item page on wowhead using the hyperlink as in... For last laugh:

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40402

Now once you have the link there you can right click the link to edit the item name (last laugh) and then change the colour ie show it as Epic, Rare, Uncommon, Common etc by changong it's colour.

I always suggest to people to ensure at all times their hyperlinks are set to open in new window as it gets real frustrating to keep having to click back non-stop to get back to the page you were initially looking at.

I know Mottie's post is about the wowdigger tooltips and is suggesting it as an alternative but the disadvantages there seem quite big if you ask me.
