Fingers of Fury!

Hello, I maintain  I was trying to have my entire site centered in the browser at a specific size.  I went into the GP control panel under Site Style>Site Layout and entered a Content Area Width of 1440.  I refreshed my browser (Chrome) and looked at the site and was pleased with the outcome.  I then opened the site up with IE and discovered that the content box widths only went as wide as the content, unlike the way Chrome rendered them.  Everything looks messed up in IE, but fine in Chrome and also Safari.  I'm guessing this is fixable, but I'm not sure what options to change.  Can someone help me get a clue?  Thanks much!

I would also like to know the answer to this. Mine looks fine in IE, but content boxes look expanded to the right in Chrome/Firefox. (The content boxes are wider in Chrome/Firefox.)

Actually IE is the one that sometimes messes up the content width, Chrome and Firefox do it correctly.

If I remember, off the top of my head, an easy fix for this would be to define the width of the content box title. This makes the width consistent for each zone of your site...
.LeftContentZone .ContentBoxTitle { width: 200px; }
.CenterContentZone .ContentBoxTitle { width: 600px; }
.RightContentZone .ContentBoxTitle { width: 200px; }
Adjust the width (in red) as appropriate to match your site ( or leave it out if you don't have that zone ).
