I've been trying to work on a custom RSS feed (similar to that on Mottie's Help Site) that would contain the following:

  • Recent Guild News
  • RSS Feed for WoW News (such as the mmo-champion news feed)
  • Recent Forum Posts (This would most likely go on the right column, similar to how it is on the help site)
However, before I do, I wanted to see how it would basically look on my page.  I input the code unmodified into a freeform html box, but the total width of the feeds was restricted to half my content box.  Anyone know a way to extend it to the full length of the box? 

Also, is it possible to add in the dates and author (when applicable...like with the recent forum posts, for example) of each individual post/news feed?

Hi Rabbyt!

Hmmm, I guess I never posted that version of the RSS Feed on the admin site... I'll get that done here in a minute.

Anyway, you can adjust the width of the left column (highlighted in blue) in the HTML of the code. The right column should automatically adjust to fit.

As for adding the author and date that is already shown in the popup, but if you want it along with the title, it'll take a bit of recoding - Now done... see this post.

Edit: Oh and don't forget to adjust the ".feedBox" css.
