Becoming Adept!

So I used to use the sound file URL in the page properites of my home page for background music, but my members wanted a way to pause it so I've switched to a widget. But it seems to want to keep loading the sound file the old way, even after I've taken it out, what can I do?

Also on my Roster I no longer show up as a member! I've checked that my character isn't blocked or hidden somehow. It seems like this happened around the time I signed up for membership here in the admin community. Would this have anything to do with it? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi xMorrighanx!

If you have already removed the url from your page properties (Control Panel >  Pages & Content > Home > Page Properties tab > Sound File Url) then I would suggest submitting a support ticket for both the sound and your roster issue. I can't see your roster page but even if I did I don't think I could help you there

I think I can help with the roster page

"If the member belongs to more than one GuildPortal guild, they will need to "Manage Guild Associations" and tell GuildPortal which guilds the character belongs to, in order for GuildPortal to know which guilds should display the data for the character.

Go to "Character/Settings"  then click on the "Characters" Tab now "Edit the "Character" you want to show up on the rosters.  About 6 down you should see "Guild Associations" click on "Manage Guild Associations" now check what sites you want your character to show on."

Above is the part that applies to you, but if you want the FAQ answer is linked below.

A character doesn't appear on the roster. Why?
