Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

I'm new to GuildPortal so please be patient with me.
I tried a search but can't seem to find the information I'm looking for. Part of that is probably because I don't know the technical terms.
I'd like to designate a set width for the poster information that displays on the left side of a post. Right now the width is unique to each user, depending on whether they have an image displayed or not. I know there is a way to force thumbnail sizing, but that's not really what I'm trying to do.
These forums have it: the dark grey box that includes a forum picture and post count. I'm also not certain how to change the colors for the individual fields within the actual forum pages (ex. having the dark grey and the black backgrounds).
If you need to see what I have so far, my forums are at:
http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=113044&TabID=965391
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

You can set a width using a custom stylesheet. I tried a quick test. The sample below worked to make that column wider for me on my test site, but when I tried to make it narrower than the width necessary to display the image, it ignored my width setting.
.MessageAuthorInfoCell1 {
width: 200;
}
I haven't done much with stylesheets, so there is probably a better way to do this.

Is there a way for me to copy the existing settings into a style sheet and just add that bit of information to it?
I haven't really done anything with style sheets so I'm not real sure how to set up the rest of the forum settings with it.

You can use your browser's "view source" to see (and copy) the existing style sheet code. On Firefox, it's "page source" on the "view" menu.It's a great way to learn. When you see a page you like, view the source to see how they did it!
