Hi,

I know not many people would want to do this , but is it possible to hide or remove the Account widget (the one with the guild chat, characters, etc.)?

I'm trying to design my GP site and I don't need to use the standard account widget. Since the account widget can't be removed like the other widgets, in the web page contents, it would require adding code.

Thank You

Hi Jourdo!

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by account widget. Could you post a screenshot of what you mean, and what you want removed?

I couldn't get a screen shot , but heres the address:

http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=300832&TabID=2521449

I picked a format that puts the account/login information at the side of my website instead of the top. It looks just like a normal widget.  I would like to remove the account section or at least hide it.

Hi Jourdo!

I don't think that would be a good idea. People need the part of the account section join your guild, set character names and logout of the account. Would just hiding the account section work for you? Then clicking on the account header would reveal the links.

Add this script to your Footer Area (Control Panel > Custom HTMl & Script > Footer Area) and see if this will work for you. If not, I could write a script that would hide the unused links like the blog and guild chat - if that's what you would prefer.
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
 if ($('.gpWidget-sitenav').length){
  $('.gpWidget-sitenav').find('.ForumCategoryHeader:contains("Account")')
   .click(function(){
    $(this).next().toggle('slow');
   })
   .next().hide();
 }
})
</script>
