Our main page has the Events Box - Small content type.  Since all of our events are member only, it says there are no upcoming events if you are not logged in.  I have noticed on other Guildportal sites that some pages have an events box which lists the events even if you're not a member.  When you click on them, you get a pop up window which says "please see the full Guild calendar for ore details on this event".  Here's a site on which this occurs:

How do I change the Events Box - Small so that this occurs and non-members can at least see what's coming up?  Thanks!

When you post your events you can set the views status to public. If that's not what you are looking for, ignore me

Actually no, that wasn't what I was looking for but thanks for trying to help anyway. 

You actually cannot set "view status" for an event, only who can sign up.  Yes, if you allow Public sign-ups, the event appears in the Small Events Box content type for everyone to see.  If it's set to associate or member access for sign-ups, non-members don't see the event in the Small Events Box at all.

As I mentioned above, I have found something different on some sites such as the Hibernian Alliance (see link above).  There, you see the events but when you click on the Small Events Box you get a pop up message that says "please see the full Guild calendar for ore details on this event".  I'm assuming that those events are not set to Public but are still showing up somehow, even though non-members can't sign up for them.

I see how they do it in their html code, but unless that is a custom html box (that would be a pain, I can't see them doing that) then I'm not sure how they did it. Course the admins for that site are code gurus! They are the same ones that figured out the welcome username code before Aaron added in the different welcome messages and the block[username].

Obviously pulling in events info and popping up alerts is doable, but sorry I'm no help as to how they've done it. Maybe pm their admins This would actually be a great feature for my alliance website, but I'm truly too lazy to try to figure that one out on my own
