Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

I logged on today and our site has gone kinda strange!
Here is a link to a
scrrenshot
or you can
take a look at the site
.
The white areas were black previously, I initially attributed this to upgrading to Firefox 3.5.2 but it looks the same on IE.
Also I'm having trouble with the WYSIWYG forum post editor in that sometimes I can't click in it to type anything now. This however seems o.k. in IE.
For a wile now I've been thinking of cleaning up the CSS on the site as it has gone through many changes over time and I'm sure there is loads that is redundant.
The trouble is I'm not really sure what to remove.
Anyone have any ideas?

I've noticed out site is "Slower" (I know slower is reletive to the viewer) - but it's a bit 'laggy' in it's response to scroll down and slower in it's load times, but a second or 2. I noticed a few 'visual' features have changed, the dotted lines etc ...

Hey Miles, check your settings in the control panel for site style > content boxes > body
I think when the code push went out, maybe some settings in the control panel got reset. I had to go in there and change a few things back to normal. I use CSS to but the control panel was overriding the css. Weird.

Cheers for that Eph, that has sorted it
Still having an issue with the WYSIWYG editor though, seems OK in IE most of the time but generally not working in Firefox 3.5.2.
I also noticed a few small changes, the 'who's online' box seems to have had some changes, it now has some strange spacing issues.

I swear my site has some "lag" to it ... meaning when I go to our page, and scroll etc it lags - goto another site and it doesn't (or for that matter another webpage outside of Guild Portal OR even another Guild Website - and it doesn't seem to 'lag' on me) Our page seems to take a bit to load and when I scroll the page up and down it is slow to react (almost similiar to video lag).
This leads me to wonder did something change and I need to update / remove something from our page ... I pretty much use the provided templates - with some Free Form HTML boxes or code in the Header and Footer (mostly stuff Mottie has provide/created and I have tweeked to fit our colors etc) -

- if someone can look this over and tell me if they see the same thing (I use IE

Weird thing is when I hit Mottie's Test site - alot of the pages do the same thing as my Guild site (Kinda sluggish or laggy - when scrolling up or down or moving the mouse around - looks similiar to video lag - BUT - i can come here or other websites and they work 'normally'. Just wondering if something was changed on Guild Portal, and somehow is messing with a custom script (but I don't know enough about it to know what to look for)
Any help would be awesome!
