Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

Becoming Adept!
I am attempting to create a submit button that will send the current page to a forum threat on my site. I would settle for the page to be sent to an email to the on site email box. Any ideas? If you want to know what im talking about here is the link to my site. http://guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=336416&TabID=2815926

I already tried using the hyper thread option in my admin tools but it just jumps to threat or url. I dont know exactly what i could do for u but if u like my application setup i would be willing to exchange 1 idea for another. I havent seen many layouts like mine. Im using the current one to simplify application process for recruits. I could give u the same setup in trade for a button that will work lol.

Hi Saberene!
Did you try to add all those same questions into the Application form for the site?
Control Panel > Member Management > Apllication Questions
I don't think you can add a selection list, but how many people from realms other than yours apply to your guild, and couldn't they just type it in?

I think the directions Mottie gave were for an application guildportal offers to you to use for your guild, it is not an application to guildportal itself. Guildportal only asks for a name and email address when you apply.

Hi Saberene!
Well in that case try this:
*Note* Using this method
will not
post the form to your GuildPortal forums, but it will e-mail you the form.
Make an embedded form from one of these sites (I haven't tried any of them, but if do don't like any of these try a google search for "online forms", but make sure they host the form, or allow you to embed the form).
Google Docs
- Click the "Create new" and select form. I haven't used it but it should be relatively straight forward
Wufoo
- Just because it has purdy colors *blink*
Forms Smarts
- I haven't used it, but it appears free and ad free
Once you are done, get their embedded code and
Now depending on what the site gives you, you'll need to add an "Embedded Page" or "Free Form Text/HTML" type widget to where you want the form on your GuildPortal site.
If you get a really long embed code, then pick the "Free Form Text/HTML" type widget and if you only get a URL, then use the "Embedded Page" type widget.
Control Panel > Pages & Content > (Pick your page) > Click on "Add Widget" tab
Title: Whatever you want, lets say "Apply" for this example
Type of Widget:
Free Form Text/HTML
OR
Embedded Page
Location on Page: Center of Page (you can move it later, but center is probably best)
Click "Add this Widget"
You should now be on the "Widgets/Content" tab, find the "Apply" widget then click the "Edit" link inside of it.
This is where you will paste in the embed code (while in <> HTML mode) or add the URL to your embedded form.
LOL and yeah, what Merenwench said is also true... you're not applying to join GP, it's for your site/guild.
