Becoming Adept!

Well I have an "information" section on the left hand of my page where I have a list of links to resources and information important for our guild members.  I'm just not sure how to change the order of those links?  I've gone through several editing options and can't find any options of being able to reorder them?  Can someone please tell me how to do this?  If you need to, you can look at the site to see what I'm talking about in particular:  http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=302899

Fingers of Fury!

    Is this just one of the Templates from Guild Portal? (Looks like it, anyhow) I think the only way to rearrange the "Order" is to delete and add as you want them in order.

    This would be a nice feature to have in several areas ... I'll add this to the Features section requesting this.

no, that wouldn't work.  it's reordering it in alphabetical order at this point.  there's gotta be some way to change that though.

Hi Ascendant78!

If you want to make a link list, I think the best thing to do would be to make your own. Put the "Info Sections" content box on an "admin" tab that it set for only the admin to see, this way you can add new info content.

Back on your Home page, add a "Free Form Text/HTML" type content box and move it into the upper left corner. Edit the content, click the HTML mode () button and paste in the following:
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" class="ContentBoxBody">
 <tbody>
 <tr><td>
  <div class="NormGridRow">
   <a href="ContentControls/Support/InfoSectionViewer.aspx?GuildID=302899&amp;GuildInfoSectionID=241759" rel="facebox">
   Add-ons Information</a>

  </div>
  <div class="AltGridRow">
   <a href="ContentControls/Support/InfoSectionViewer.aspx?GuildID=302899&amp;GuildInfoSectionID=241724" rel="facebox">
   Guild Etiquette</a>

   </div>
  <div class="NormGridRow">
   <a href="ContentControls/Support/InfoSectionViewer.aspx?GuildID=302899&amp;GuildInfoSectionID=241758" rel="facebox">
   Guild Income: Guide to Making Money</a>

  </div>
  <div class="AltGridRow">
   <a href="ContentControls/Support/InfoSectionViewer.aspx?GuildID=302899&amp;GuildInfoSectionID=241722" rel="facebox">
   Guild Rules/Guidelines</a>

  </div>
 </td></tr>
 </tbody>
</table>
You can move link order to whatever you desire (just move the HTML in blue). When you're done, make sure the "NormGridRow" and "AltGridRow" names alternate... you can just change the names (in green) yourself if you have to.

As for the link colors, you'll have to change that in the control panel
Control Panel > Style & Colors > Content Box Styles > Grids
Change the Odd Rows Link Color, Even Rows Link Color and Hover Rows Link Color to something other than white.

Hey Ascendant78!

Just go to...
Control Panel > Site Pages
If you don't have an Admin tab, then click on "Add New Page". On free sites you are limited to 8 pages total, so you may be stuck there.
Name: Admin
Display Order: 10
Level to View: Level 6: Super Admins

"Save"
Now you can add content to your "Admin" tab for testing, etc. Click on the admin tab and add a "Info Sections" type content box. You can then add new content, but you'll have to copy the link and add it to your home page info box manually... just follow the template to add more.

*One thing to note, if your site ever reverts back to a free site, you'll still be able to access all your tabs - you won't be limited to 8. But you can't add any new ones.
