Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post
.

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

You know, I'm trying to find this out myself. Our shout box and forum timestamps are on EST time I think.

BUMP!
I also am having this issue. The clan forums are all on Mountain Time, no matter what I set my individual user time at. Is there any way to change this?
4 folks now wondering. We need a yes or no, please.

This is how it works the time stamp is set by the time zone of who ever makes the post so if you have a member in another time zone it will stamp it with his or her time zone
the guild web site time zone is set by the owner of the sites time zone
so if you are woenr of the site g to charator settings click on prefrancess tab and change your time zone if you want all of you guild mebers to have the same time have them do the same

Time Zones and Time Stamps are currently several hours off, regardless of preference settings.
I posted this at 4:08pm EST (GMT -5:00), with my current preference settings at Eastern USA and Canada.
EDIT at 4:29pm EST: If I view the
Thread List Page
with my preference settings at Eastern USA and Canada, I see a time-stamp of 7:08pm. And when I view this actual thread the post is time-stamped at 5:08pm.
Everything seems a bit screwy here, except for the Edit time stamp below...the only correct stamp anywhere!

Becoming Adept!
On of my site members is having issues with the time zone and calendar. I iwll quote his problem:
""Why does the calendar take my timezone into account for the time of a raid, but not the day? I am GMT +12...the events are reported at my TIME, e.g 2pm, but not on the right DAY...we are a day ahead of most everyone. If I post to the forum, it will time stamp it "Tomorrow, xx.xx p.m". Itconverts hours, but it does not carry forward into the next day."
Is there something I can do to fix this problem as an administrator, or does the member have to do something in his settings?

Something really need to be done soon about this.
The mail system has one way of dealing with time.
The calendar system has another way of dealing with time.
And now all of the posts are showing up as being posted in a time zone that seems to be in the middle of the Atlantic ...or at least..Newfoundland.
This needs to be adressed, im getting pm's from my members who actually are marginally interested in the times that things are happening but just are constantly pulling thier hair out at the conglomeration of systems that GP seems to have.

Same here,
posts saying, 'tomorrow: xxx:xx' etc,
as well as people getting confused with setting up the date+time for events to start.
The last one we resolved with stating in the event the time it starts in CST and letting people calculate the event to their local-time. (skipping the time GP gives)
In my opinion the calculating to/from the GP-server time is sometimes not done properly,
or in some cases not even done and the time of the user that creates the post/event is used.
Not an easy thing to get set up right, but would be nice to see this done.
Greetings,
Ortahr.
