Hi Kërby!

I don't get what you are asking. The welcome page is the same thing as a splash page, so when you say that you want to hide the welcome page to make a splash page, I just lose what you want.

I see your welcome page and it come up as it should... are you trying to completely remove the page? Or remove the tab? Or something else?

Has there been a big change with guildportal?

My welcome page does exactly as intended, but i cant hide my into/welcome tab.

Also, when i look at other guild sites, they seem to have the same problem, anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this? I've ran out .....

Hi Hondahoorz!

If you want to hide a tab, first find the tabID for that tab in the URL... so lets say your tab ID is 1111111. Replace the number in red below:

CSS method - this only works for the static image type nav bar
Add that number to the end of "#stabsCell" and set it to display none to get the following:
#stabsCell1111111 { display: none; }
Add this bit of CSS to your custom css (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Script > Custom CSS > CSS Additions to Standard)
Script Method
If you are using side tabs or want to use code instead, then use this script to hide the tab. Replace the number in red with the tabID.

Add this code to your custom script (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Script > Custom Javascript/JQuery > Document Ready Event).
// This will remove a side navigation link.
$('a.ActiveDiv[href*=1111111]').parent().hide();

// This will remove a tab in a static image type nav bar
$('a[href*=1111111]').closest('td[id^=stabsCell]').hide();

// This will remove a tab in a Dynamic image type nav bar
$('#straightBarWrapperInnerTable a[href*=1111111]').parent().hide();

Hi Mottie,

Me again

The splash page seems to work great, but it won't hide my page image either. I've tried both of those solutions (individually and at the same time), but it still shows the "Welcome" at the top of the screen

Do you have the splash page up and running? It'll help me figure out what needs fixing.

I don't know if this is more work than it's worth, but how difficult would it be to create some sort of "bypass" option for the splash page?

Maybe something where it gives users the option to skip directly to the "Home" page every time? (without having to click on the "Enter" button). Could this be done via cookies?

For now I'm just telling them to bookmark the page they want to skip to, but you know end users...

Hi Epik§!

I didn't see the splash page on your site, so I'm only guessing at what the problem is... I think your "URL TO YOUR HOME PAGE" might be missing the "TabID".

So for your site, it should be pointing to this url: http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=417479&TabID=3547492

That url also needs to go into the <meta> tag if you've included it to redirect the page.
