Ayiana (New Admin) 3/2/2010 11:53 AM EST : Script conversion?

I have this script on my site that the content box editor despises.  Once it is in and saved I can't get back to the HTML editor to modify it should I decide to change my site theme.  Can anyone convert it into something that plays nice with the editor?

open script src='http://www.guildox.com/go/go.asp?c=w&f=061115&b=647C80&w=200&t=10SA&n=Snow+Goons&r=Dragonblight%2DUS' close open / script close

That is the sole content of the box.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Forgive the typed open and close.  I couldn't post without them.

Thanks!

Hi Ayiana!

I didn't have any trouble adding the script to my editor. Where are you trying to add it? Are you placing the editor into <> HTML mode (a button in the toolbar located above the Save and Cancel buttons at the bottom of the editor).

I put the following script into a free form text/HTML type widget and it worked fine:
<script src='http://www.guildox.com/go/go.asp?c=w&f=061115&b=647C80&w=200&t=10SA&n=Snow+Goons&r=Dragonblight%2DUS'></script>
And as a side note, you can add script to a forum post by italicizing the opening "script" tag.

If it still doesn't work, can you please describe the problem that is occurring or maybe include a screen shot to better show what you are describing.

I get the inital entry done just fine.  I copy and paste my line into the editor, save, and all works well.  Until...

When I go back into that widget to edit it, the bottom status indicator shows Error on page as soon as I click on <>HTML to actually edit anything.  I actually started with what you wrote, but the editor changed all the "&" to the "&amp;" you saw in my posting of it.   Ahhh, but it works just fine to edit in Firefox.  I can live with that.

Thanks for the reply Mottie.

Oh, and thanks for the hint on using script in italics - that was very frustrating!.
