Fingers of Fury!

Hi Mottie,

thank you for replying.

Unfortunately I can't get this to work. I'm sure it is something I do wrong.

I was wondering, if I do this in the CSS tab, how does the information in the CSS tab refer only to the page which contains the eq2Roster?
I guess this is somehow in the config, and therefore wonder if that is the reason it doesn't work for me...

I am sorry i keep asking these questions, but I really like to get this working (and understand how to that)

Maybe there is a page with examples or something, so I can compare?

Thanx,

Bite

Getting Started!

So I'm about 80% there....

At this point all chars that have a secondary tradeskill all show adorning.  No one has tinkering listed at all so I think the ignoring tinkering that you added made it see all as adorning.

I had to adjust the th.Header to match up with the actual header names of th.NameHeader th.ArtisanHeater etc to get the filter to work.

At this point I have everything working except:

Getting class and tradeskill icons to show up on the page (can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here)
All secondary tradeskills are showing as adorning  as I mentioned above.
The Char names in the screen shot look like they should be clickable... I'm assuming for more detailed info on each char, but mine are not links?

Any help would be great, thanks!

@DJBite!: I would need to see the page in order to help you figure out the problem. The css in the custom css tab is added to every page you have, so there is no need to worry about it not being applied.

@Seanganne: Yes, I'll work on the tinkering thing... I have about 20 other things I'm trying to catch up with so I'll try to get to it soon. I'm not quite sure how I'll get two tinkering icons added to the table, but I'll work on that when I dig into the code more. And lastly, I would like the character names clickable, but I have no idea where to point them to... I was hoping to find something. Basically, I just wanted to get it up and working again, I'll work out the details when I can.

Thanks for the response

Any suggestions on why I can't get any of the class or tradeskill icons to work?

Never mind, I went and looked at it today some of them worked some didn't, the ones with capitals had icons the classes without capital letters did not.

Fixed it

Also the axiom site is missing the beastlord icon  that or I haven't figured out the name

@DJBite @Seanganne!

Ok, I've updated the XSL to include secondary tradeskills and I've updated all of the css in the original post to work with the new format; basically all capitalized class names and tradeskills are now all lower cased, because the database is inconsistent. So ".eq2Warden" is now ".eq2warden", etc.

I wasn't sure what the heck the difference between transmuting and adorning (icon-wise) so I made them the same. If you guys have a nice adorning icon you could share, I'll update it in the css above

Mottie,

thank you very much for all the work. I got the icons working perfectly now.

I can't get the makeup for this to work. I have a standard black background on all my pages and that's what it is also for this window. I have different colors for the headings (Character & Tradeskills), but I can't get the "zebrastriping" to work or any other color and makeup.

I miss out on:
Colors for the headings (i.e. Name, Rank, Class etc.)
Lines between the different headings
The arrows (I have used the standard white .gif) for sorting

I'm also wondering how to change the standard font color (normal color is a kind of dark yellow) which is being used on the whole website.

And lastly I was wondering if it's possible to change the order of the ranks a bit; what happens is that "prospective" members have no rank as such and are now on top of everyone else instead of the Guild Leader etc. In other words, how can I make sure that the sorting on Rank gets an empty field on the botton, instead of on the top (which is how it is now)

Thank you very much for taking all this time to help me. It's much appreciated.

Cheers,
DJBite

Ok, I fixed the sorting issue... basically all I did was update the sorting plugin to fix it.

The zebra striping needs to target ".even" and ".odd" in the css to add the style. I can't direct you much more than that since I can't see your roster page, so I'm only guessing that this is the problem. The css is in the first post and has a comment above it stating it's for zebra striping.

If you want to change the color of the text in the table, then you'll need to target the text and links.
/* table cell text color */
table.tablesorter td { color: #fff; }
/* table cell link text color */
table.tablesorter td a:link { color: #ddd; }
table.tablesorter td a:hover { color: #fff; }

Mottie,

again thank you for all your help.

I finally found what the problem is; the #eq2Roster name in the config, should actually be eq2roster (lower case)
Once I put it in lower case, I saw the "Zebra Striping as well as the sorting arrows.

Thanx for you patience :-)

Cheers,
