With the change over to free to play and the website revamp, the old XML feeds were gone.  There are new, much better, feeds to use and I've updated the original EQ2 Roster from Mottie's help site to support this.

updated xsl url: http://ardentregression.guildportal.com/GuildFiles/410269/eq2-roster.xsl

updated xml url: http://data.soe.com/xml/get/eq2/guild/?name=MYGUILDNAMEGOESHERE&c:resolve=members%28displayname,type.class,type.level,type.race,type.deity,type.gender,guild.rank,guild.status,secondarytradeskills,tradeskills%29

details: I updated the pathing in the xsl to pull the proper data from the new data feed and tweaked the data free params to include what is needed.  This gets you back to what Mottie's original eq2 roster looked like.  Your milage may vary on the css, but I was using Mottie's original xsl from his hosted files for this and I'm only running into minor issues.

Hey dedith!

I was going to update my post using your xsl, but it appears that the links to characters are broken...

I see that eq2players is down so I'm not sure where to find the character info page. Any ideas?

Also, in the XML I see there is a rank list, but I don't see a ranking for characters anymore. Is there a way to add that to the xml using the url parameters?

Here is a couple of Things I have learned so far:
---
How to get Guild ID with New SOE feeds:

The simple way:
http://data.soe.com/xml/get/eq2/guild/ ?name=The+Lost+Legion&world=Everfrost

Now let's say you have a character name but don't know the name of the guild...
http://data.soe.com/xml/get/eq2/character/ name.first=Feldon&locationdata.world=Butcherblock

Now find the guild block. For instance:
<guild guildid="2852" id="3809504697" joined="1274098154" level="51" name="Honor Among Thieves" rank="0" status="610792"/>

The long id number is the unique guild id (the short number is server-specific and thus depreciated). So here we go:

http://data.soe.com/xml/get/eq2/guild/3809504697

Soe official Data Feed Site:
http://forums.station.sony.com/station/forums/show.m?forum_id=443
---
Most Used program using new feeds -Roster Master:
http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?&topic_id=346728
---

The closest I can come to what your original Roster had is :
http://data.soe.com/xml/get/eq2/guild/?name=Battlemasters&c:resolve=members%28displayname,type.class,type.level,guild.rank,guild.status%29

Enter this in a broser and you get all data except Last online. Could not find that one.

Hope this helps.

Thanks rwalker1! That really helped!

So, is there a formatted page where you can look at your character? I found this link to character data but it is unformatted

http://data.soe.com/xml/get/eq2/character/?name.first=Kinda&locationdata.worldid=505&c:show=displayname,last_update,locationdata,guild

Not that I have found.
But you can also use the # as in:

http://data.soe.com/xml/get/eq2/character/?id=502512047391&c:show=displayname,last_update,locationdata,guild

Gives same data and you get the char id from the guild.

I do know that Roster Master is using the data: I set it up at work.. on a local pc works fine.

Easy estup with mySQL and Windows web server.

Might show more. Dont have access to it till monday.

Forums has a 65 pages from them but mostly just need to scan last few.. since the new feeds havent been out that long.

That's about all I have.. though I have been playing around with it.. and can get all kinds of achievement information. But doesnt look like we can get a quest list. Was hoping to add a Heritage quest complete page also.

Sorry for the delay, work's kept me a bit busy.

The initial URL I gave should be resolving the rank in the guilds->guild->members->member with the rank attribute.  However, it's not longer the name.  This is good and bad.  You can properly sort it by ranking (it's numbers), but you still need to lookup the rank number to name from the guilds->guild->ranks listing.  I know it's most likely possible to do this with another template entry in xsl, but I've just not sat down to figure it out properly yet.

Also, they just announced there will be a standardization of 'lists'..  so 'guilds' should be changing to 'guildList', 'ranks' to 'rankList', etc.  Dan hasn't mentioned when this will go live, but I got a bit of coding changes to alter when it does.  I'll post over here when I see him mention the date.  Edit2: Scratch that, he posted as I posted this.  "This change will be going live in a couple of hours.  Just doing more testing now."

Edit: Also, i'm unsure when the eq2players site will be back.  I had left the url generation as is for now.  I believe other folks might be working on something of the sorts though.

Hi dedith!

I've updated my xsl file to include the rank name instead of the number:  http://www.guildportal.com/GuildFiles/258012/eq2-roster.xsl

I've also updated my eq2 roster post:  http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=3780&ForumID=25682&TabID=27537&Replies=6&TopicID=8894319
