Hoch lowers his head and does his best to hide his disappointment.

'That was a mighty fine speech Points.  But I do not think you understand with whom you are trying to deal with....no, not at all.  I would have more optimism if we were headed to the Lhazzar and not to...'

He closes his eyes as tightly as he can and takes a deep breath. After a few brief moments he lifts his head and looks at the others. 'I need to get out of here.  Let them feel good about this, I do not want to bring doubt to any of them.'

With that he quickly heads to the central staircase.  Before he goes below, he pauses as he turns to look at his comrades. Some of them head to the railing with light hearts and a sense of adventure.  He stands there for a few seconds longer before he turns and descends deep into the ship.

Four decks later he arrives at the observatory and takes a seat.  The smell of the flowers in the terrarium above give him some relief as he watches Stormreach's harbor.

Points has heard his protest, there was noting more he could do about this now.  'I don't care anymore whether this mission of yours is a success or failure.  All I can do now is ensure that I am prepared, and do whatever I can to ensure everyone returns safely.'

With that thought in mind he continues to smell the flowers and watch the activity below as they prepared for launch.

A broad smile stretches across Aluatris' face at Points' well-worded speech. For a rogue, he certainly had a way with words.

As she looks about her family, glad to be with them, her smile falters when her eyes rest on Hoch, sinking down into the lower levels of the ship.

'It must be torture for him, where we're going. Perhaps I should...'

But she shakes her head before she has time to even consider following him. No, she was here on vacation and she was going to enjoy it. Heading to the railing, she gazes out over the city and can't help but agree with Points. The view was simply amazing. 'WE act for a better future...' Ever the dreamer, she mulled over these words, pondering what their future may hold. Of course she didn't know - to be honest, she didn't even know what to expect in the immediate future, with this whole trip - but if nothing else, she was excited to find out.

"--even, gods help us, choose our fates."

The words weighed uncomfortably on Deriaz's shoulders. If nothing else, his past few years of life have shown him the exact opposite. Yes, he had choices he could make, but ultimately, things were always out of control as much as he tried to fight them.

He lowered his gaze, distracted in his own thoughts as Points spoke on. Eventually, the speech came to a close, leaving the warforged's thoughts gaining more strength in his head. The silence rattled him though, and his eyes brightened as he glanced up from the deck's woodwork.

"Hm. . ." Deriaz rumbled, hoping he hadn't missed anything too terribly important. He still had questions he wanted to pose to Points, but he didn't want to make the elf angry at prying. Instead, he turned his focus and his body towards Lyrick. "Well then. . . I'm assuming you may still be a bit cold, and the blanket is not enough. Do you need help getting to the quarters, or do you think you might be able to manage?"

Lyrick had remained silent since having taken up position beside Deriaz, only giving a slight grunt and a begruding nod of thanks to Hoch's offer of clothes. As the speech waned and waxed Lyrick stood seemingly attentive, applauding as Point's drew his speech to a close.

Not bad...Great way of inspiring us all without telling us anything...This guy should go into politics...Oh, right. He is already involved in that scene...

...Still, i'd take Points and Jaggie over a million Coin Lords anyday...

"I sh-should manage, my g-good sir." Lyrick responded to Deriaz's question, pulling the blanket tighter around himself. "I spotted an empty c-cabin that w-will suit me just fine." And after excusing himself the bard immediately began to shuffle off towards the guest-cabins, eager to change out of his wet things and into something dry.

He paused only once, glancing out over the railing to spot the continued hub-bub of the guards around the Harbor gate. A thoughtful smile creased his face.

What was it they say? 'Out of the frying pan and into fire'? Well at least I'll be warmer there...

Sunky shook his head quietly at the speech, he wasn't one for such formalities, and wasn't quite sure what they had gotten them selves into, but from the tone it seemed rather serious. Spotting Hoch make his way deck, Sunky decided to follow his friend down to the Observatory, it's glass walls and floor making a brilliant view of Stormreach below.

Sunky unceremoniously plopped down next to Hoch and piped up, "I wonder how long it took Points to write that monologue."

Jeatra only mildly payed attention during the speech, content instead to lean against Lyrica. She never cared much for long talks, preferring instead to simply skip ahead and get to the point. Lyrica just happened to be the exception to that rule.

There was one thing that did pique her interest though. That door. Why would Points keep a door that noone could enter? What sort of secret was he keeping down there?

When Points finished his speech, Jeatra was already thinking up ways she might get into that door and find out what was behind. She didn't even hear or consider which side of the line she was on.

Hoch looks over at Sunky and starts with, "You mean that eul.." He stops himself from finishing his statement.  'Knock it off Hoch, drop it.'

He forces a smile and re-replies with  "Who knows.  It seems that he has felt that way for some time and it all may have just come together.  He certainly is emotional about it."

He rearranges himself into a more comfortable position but a bulging object in his pocket was in the way.  He reaches in and pulls out a bandanna and folds it neatly and sets it beside him.

Turning his gaze through the glass below them, he points to the harbor. "Everything seems quiet and peaceful down there doesn't it?  I've always enjoyed heights.  It forces you to remember that there are many different perspectives on the same thing."

"Sure," Deriaz said with a salute as Lyrick strode away. The warforged turns his attention towards the railing, a mix of curiosity and a strange fear pulling for attention in his mind. Aerenal is. . . The Warforged paused, completely unsure of where Aerenal is located. It must be somewhere even further south on Xen'drik, he decides, that he hadn't seen it yet.

Deciding the aerial view of a city he already knows isn't terribly exciting, he moves over towards Jaggie. With a nod, he takes a seat next to her quietly, simply enjoying the music and the bard's talent. And the company, of course, though he was biased on that front.

Points nods a silent thank you to Nklos and stops to return Zoltando’s salute. After all a salute must be returned or it is an insult. Ignoring further questions for the moment, Points continues his trek to his wife and son.

Points quickly kneels and hugs Tyrael commenting “I see someone has some new toys…”

Then he rises and wraps himself around Valianna.  She feels the energy leave him as the weight finally bows his shoulders.  “Thank you Saeresi… I… hope so as well.  Not just for the money involved but for the possible gains… I know it is a risk, but it is one I feel that it is time for.”

Sailors bustle around and draw in several lines tying them to the spire.  The ship floats free and the Captain orders some adjustments as they slowly rise and begin to move away.

He draws strength from Valianna’s embrace and plays with Tyrael before looking over the rail. “Oo were missing it.  Look Ty… there’s our house over that wall… and there is the Fellowship Hall”

Tyrael brightens and claps as he recognizes the places.  He stops looks closely and points below with his rabbit “Peenix!”

As Jaggie begins to sing, Points stifles a little laugh at the unintended innuendo. “That’s right sweeting. What else can you see?”  Points’ arm slides lower until it is resting on Vali’s hips.  With his family in his arms and his back to the ship it is almost easy enough to forget where they are going and why....

The sky darkens for a moment around the ship, not a cloud in the sky to block the sun, but something that could only be magic.  As a few of the more astute on the deck check around to see what is causing the twilight two hands appear in mid air and spread out creating a window.

Versatillas steps out of the portal, looks around and grins.  He claps his hands and the portal closes returning the sun to its normal intensity.  "Um...  Sorry I'm late, I had...  Um...  A thing."  He points and gestures to where the now closed portal is.

"Is it too late to join you guys?  I could leave?"  The drow gestures back towards Stormreach.  "I just...  I wanted an adventure?  And I heard this was the place to sign up?"

Versatillas grins big secretly hoping they wouldn't send him away.  He hadn't been on an airship for a while and it sounded like a nice relaxing cruise.
