((Hm… guess it’s about time. I started filling this thing out shortly after I joined the Fellowship, and then completely forgot about it. Al has changed so much over the past year and a half that I figured I might as well restart!))

Q: What is your given name?
Aluatris Vhelune

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. nicknames?)

Aluatris or Al mostly, though one friend dubbed me Tris.

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?

The first time my father took me out on the river. Something about water just sets me at ease!

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?

Typically either the Phoenix or my room in the guildhall.

Q: What is your favourite food and/or drink?

Nothing quite beats the taste of a fresh-baked apple pie. Wine is my beverage of choice, though Cog does make a wonderful drink strangely titled the “Dirty Kobold” of which I’ve recently grown fond.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?
Would you count singing for an audience for the first time? *Al grins*

Q: Name one of your fears:

Spiders! My biggest fear, though, would be losing those I love.

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?

I have many friends I would consider close, and they meant the world to me. They know who they are. That’s all that matters.

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?

Of course! *Al laughs softly* Who hasn’t?

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?

I don’t understand why anyone has to lose anything, but if I had to choose, I suppose I’d have to give up my feet. Would be awfully hard playing my flute without my hands!

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)

I’ve always been relatively wealthy, thanks to my father’s business.

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?
*The corners of Al’s lips droop slightly in a sort of half-frown, and her face takes on a sort of sad, forlorn look* I haven’t been very lucky with love, but I’m hopeful the future will be better and that my ‘true’ love is still out there somewhere.

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior, etc.)

I harbour a special hatred for hobgoblins for what they took away from me, but besides that I wouldn’t say I have any particular biases.

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?

Music and magic, often together, are my greatest assets, but I do have a couple of longswords I can use relatively well if those fail.

Q: Do you have any living family?

Only my father, but he’s the only family I’ve ever needed.

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?

Kill or injure the innocent, or bring harm to those I love.

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?

World peace, true love and… more wishing rings.

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?

The day I found out the man I had planned to spend the rest of my life with had died.

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?

Good question! Either my father or my friend and mentor Ruanès. They’ve both taught me so much and were there when I needed them most.

Honestly, though, everyone I’ve met since coming to Stormreach has had some influence on my life, some more than others. I wouldn’t be where I am without their support and friendship.

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted?

Obviously. I’m a terrible liar, for one.

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?

I don’t really know. The most important things in life can’t be bought by any amount of gold, so it’s really a pointless matter to ponder.

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?

Anyone who works towards the greater good is an ally in my books.

((Making a presumption that the question is unfamiliar))

Q: What is your given name?
Elorick Elorrenthi d’Phiarlan

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. nicknames?)
Elorick

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?
I remember being quite excited by my new powers when I first developed my ‘mark.

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?
The Phoenix or the Bogwater, when I have time. My line of work tends to keep me busy more often than not.

Q: What is your favourite food and/or drink?
I’m not too particular, though I’d never turn down a good scotch or fine wine.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?
*Elorick smirks* I take pride in all my accomplishments.

Q: Name one of your fears:
Fear is for the weak. I can’t afford to have them.

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?
Eh… I’d consider Smudge, Intayazz and Aratrix my friends, and there are others with whom I am friendly.

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?
More often than I’d care to admit.

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?
Both are incredibly useful to me, I don’t know how I could possibly decide. I suppose I should be grateful that a slip-up results in the loss of limb and not of life?

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)
I was born into a well-respected line of Phiarlan nobles. The family that raised me was… not as wealthy, or influential. But I owe them my life.

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?
Love? *El raises an eyebrow and laughs* Who has time for love?

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior, etc.)
I despise House Thuranni as a whole, and abhor individuals in that house even more so.

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?
My own fists and feet.

Q: Do you have any living family?
Likely some in the interwoven families of House Phiarlan are relatives of mine, but I have no immediate family.

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?

Nothing comes to mind.

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?
Ah… now wouldn’t that be quite something!

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?
*El gives the questioner a “really!?” look* I don’t quite think I know you well enough to share those sorts of intimate details.

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?
Probably the man who taught me how to fight.

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted?
Even if I did, I certainly wouldn’t be advertising them.

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?
Whatever I wanted.

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?

Evidently I do the most work with my own House.

Q: What is your given name?
Ha. Wouldn't you like to know. There is one living person in all the world that knows it besides myself. Not about to start changing that. Why does it matter anyway? Smudge fits a lot better.

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. nicknames?)

Smudge. Sometimes Smudgie. I prefer Smudge.

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?

My dad teaching me to juggle when I was really little. The years spent with Daelyn.

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?

In the Phoenix or on my rooftop or some other high place. I enjoy high places.

Q: What is your favourite food and/or drink?

I'm a sucker for sweet things. Mead is my favorite drink. Though that scotch of Nklos' is a close second.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?
Overcoming some of my fears and coming out of my self imposed hermitage. Helping take out that dragon was pretty great too.

Q: Name one of your fears:

*wrinkles nose* Not really something I try to look too closely at. I guess my biggest is losing those I love.

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?

In just this past year, I've made more friends than I've ever had in my life. *chuckles* They know who they are. I'm not going to list them, because I'll probably forget someone, or someone with get ruffled because I didn't say them first!

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?

Yes.

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?

Feet, definitely feet. Don't have to even think about that one. Maybe Bell or someone could make me something to replace them. But to not be able to touch things and feel them... To juggle.. to create. No.

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)

Dirt poor. Only recently have I had any money to speak of.

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?
*shrugs a little* At one point, I think so, yes. At another point I thought so, and was very, very wrong. I'm starting to think I don't know.

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior, etc.)

*shrugs* Not too keen on nobility with more money than sense. Hate undead (Hey, when all your tricks don't work in a fight, let me know how much you like it). Other than that, I have a pretty even keel.

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?

My wit, my rapier, and the element of surprise.

Q: Do you have any living family?

No. The Fellowship is as close as it gets.

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?

Harm or betray a friend/someone I love. *shrugs* There are other things, but they're mostly things anyone with a few morals to rub together wouldn't do.

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?

Hmmm. Good question. Probably to change a thing or two in my past. And to keep my friends and loved ones safe.

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?

When my parents never came back. Followed closely by when I lost Daelyn.

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?

My father. Since I lost him, I've made my own way.

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted?

Serious, probably that I get myself in over my head when it comes to the problems or needs of my friends. Lighthearted... Mead, song, and funny animal hats.

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?

I'd buy the whole warehouse I'm living over, and renovate the downstairs so I had a bigger house and a proper shop. And I'd travel, a lot.

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?

*shrugs* I don't really have one in particular that I favor. Whoever pays right and either has a good cause or a good adventure.

(hehe. Ok, so I got all sorts of amusing answers from over my shoulder while I was writing up mine.. So, must do one for Belladara.))

Q: What is your given name?
The one I received shortly after I was born.

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. nicknames?)
Bell

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?
The toy shops in Zilargo.

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?
One wouldn't find me unless I failed wretchedly.

Q: What is your favourite food and/or drink?
Wines and cheeses.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?
Not having a mental breakdown and destroying house Kundarak. (One more revision I tell you... Just one more!!)

Q: Name one of your fears:
Never being able to get my repeating crossbow to work properly.

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?
Smudge, and Yark.

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?
Not being able to get my repeating crossbow to work. The theory IS sound! I KNOW it is!

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?
I'd rather lose my feet. If I were to lose my hands and decide it wasn't worth living, it's a lot harder to commit suicide with your toes.

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)
Along the lines of a merchant family. My family does accounting for Kundarak.

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?
No. I think they hide better than I seek.

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior, etc.)
Gelatinous cubes! They're not even lime flavored!

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?
Anything that can be used from about 300 yards away. If it goes boom, all the better.

Q: Do you have any living family?

Yes.

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?

Go straight.

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?
The powers of high wizardry and a scroll of unlimited wish, as well as scribing components.

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?
When Cog stopped making those little fruity drinks with the pineapple on top.

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?
My old prof back in Zilargo.

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted?
Slightly amoral. Oh, and those little fruity drinks with the pineapple on top.

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?
A better set of thieves' tools. (It's more fun that way)

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?

Do I count as an entity?

(In this interview we invited the wizard Caladhain to join us and answer a few questions about himself.)

Q: What is your given name?

Caladhain Doriand.

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. nicknames?)

It's not a name that lends itself readily to nicknames. I knew someone once who called me Laddie, but it never really caught on with others.

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?

(Caladhain smiles reminiscently.) My mother used to make the most wonderful pancakes before she went to work in the mornings. There were fresh berries and cream, and I always helped her do the dishes. Sometimes she would dab the bubbles in my hair and call me a soap angel.

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?

In the Phoenix, or in my home with my collection of arcane tomes.

Q: What is your favourite food and/or drink?

Difficult to say. I suppose I'm fond of ghallanda treats. They tingle.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?

I was able to save the child of a family that lives near me from a necromancer occupying the sewers beneath her home. Her family were so glad to see her home that they wept. I very nearly choked up myself, and I assure you, I am not an emotional man.

Q: Name one of your fears:

I'm afraid of heights. I fell off a small building when I was young and I never quite recovered from the experience.

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?

I'm quite attached to a skeleton I've summoned. I've no idea what her name is, since she is unable to speak, but I call her Berta.

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?

Yes. I'm afraid I'll have to leave it that. (Caladhain looks deeply distressed at this point.)

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?

Undoubtedly my feet. I could still cast spells without them, including Fly, which at least partially negates the need for feet in any case.

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)

My mother and I were very poor during the early part of my life. I've managed to do a little better for myself here in Stormreach.

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?

Not yet, but I remain hopeful that one day I will. I'm not so very old, you know. Don't let the hair fool you. (Caladhain fingers a strand of his silver hair.)

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior, etc.)

I really abhor spells from the school of Necromancy. I suppose I consider myself an Evoker.

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?

My arcane powers. I have occasionally had recourse to a rapier when those are exhausted.

Q: Do you have any living family?

Alas, no. My dear mother passed away when I was still quite young.

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?

I would never harm a child.

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?

True love, peace for all the world, and the powers of a cleric, that I might be able to heal as well as harm.

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?

The day my mother died.

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?

Undoubtedly my mother. I knew her for such a short time, and yet she made me the man I am today. (Caladhain surreptitiously wipes away a single tear.)

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted?

Whatever are you planning to do with this information? Well, I suppose I've always had a weakness for clotted cream and strawberries. Make quite a pig of myself when the opportunity presents.

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?

An empty building to convert into an orphanage for children who might be gifted with arcane powers.

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?

I enjoy working for House Jorasco. It's difficult to know what is right or wrong in a complex moral environment like Stormreach, but it's never wrong to help a healer destroy evil undead.

(For this second interview, Caladhain was subdued using a Greater Command spell cast by a powerful cleric, then tied to the chair while that same cleric cast Zone of Truth. Initially he refused to answer any questions, but when threatened with being repeatedly burned about the face and neck with a branding iron, he agreed to talk with us further. The cleric's protest about the branding iron was noted for the record.)

Q: What is your given name?

Caladhain Doriand, damn you. Yes, that is my real name.

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. nicknames?)

Ha. Generally I consider myself lucky enough if they get my first name anything approaching right. So many people are simpletons. What? Yes, I did know a dwarf who called me Laddie. Nice old fellow. Shame I had to kill him. Well, it was him or me. I've learned to be more cautious around my friends of different moral preference now.

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?

Well, there were enormous rats in the cellar I lived in, and I found some quite elaborate ways to torture them to death. When that grew dull, I trained the survivors. They're very intelligent animals, you see, so it's relatively easy. Once I got them to creep upstairs and gnaw through the bedclothes while my mother was working. It was worth the beating I got from her customer. For that matter, I think that was the first time I ever saw someone other than her, the miserable old -

(At the cleric's request, the following profanity has not been recorded.)

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?

Same answer. I can't be down in the workshop every day, you know. One can't leave too much of one's time unaccounted for by other people, or the brighter ones start to get ideas.

Q: What is your favourite food and/or drink?

Definitely the ghallanda treats. I've never really been keen on that whole "blood of your enemies" concept. (Caladhain leans back in his chair.) Do keep that away from my face. You know I can't lie to you with your miserable Zone up. Blood is untidy, it smells, and I don't care for it.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?

I killed a necromancer occupying an underground lair near my home. He was saving a young victim for a ceremony, so I managed to return her to her family, thus maintaining my cover at the same time as I eliminated a rival. Those poor fools will swear to the death that I am a saint.

Q: Name one of your fears:

As you have been clever enough to discover, I am not fond of physical discomfort. I will certainly accept it as a cost of doing business if the results are worth it. For instance, let me explain what I plan to do to you once you've let me go -

(Once again, a section of Caladhain's remarks has not been recorded at the cleric's request.)

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?

The jury is still out on that one. I'm still looking for someone for whom I can do a sufficient service that they don't look too closely at the more obvious clues.

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?

No. Shame is not a concept I really comprehend.

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?

Still feet. I can find an artificer to devise some sort of prosthetic, and then I will need my hands in order to track down whoever is responsible for the damage to my feet and annihilate them.

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)

My mother had a decent though small house bought with the proceeds from her work. (Caladhain sneers.) I gather she was good at it, at least until age and dreamlily made that difficult. The cellar was not particularly ornamental, but admittedly, I understand somewhat about that. There was only the one bedroom. She couldn't have an unruly child disrupting business, you know.

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?

I gather that love is something that does happen to people, but as I seem exempt from some of the other pesky emotional states, I imagine I will avoid that also.

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior, etc.)

Fighters and barbarians are such useful people. Physically strong and not overly bright. Unfortunately, seeking out their company too obviously would render me more suspicious to those of greater mentation, so I generally have to settle for mixed company and staying on my toes.

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?

Same answer. I'm a wizard. It's what I do.

Q: Do you have any living family?

I suppose I've some sort of extended family somewhere. I never bothered to ask Mother about them before she died.

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?

Unfortunately, that was true, too. I get the most dreadful headache if I think about harming one of the little brats. I can't imagine why. I assume it's some sort of rooted childhood impairment. I've never been able to discuss it with a cleric, for obvious reasons. (At this point Caladhain turns to look at the cleric.) I don't suppose you'd care to venture an opinion? No? Tsk. That's unprofessional of you.

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?

Ultimate power, the ability to kill anyone, anywhere, with a single thought, and the powers of a cleric. What? Why? It would be convenient to be able to heal myself without the use of wands and scrolls. Besides, the best torture methods require healing as well as harm, you know.

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?

Sadness has not been a major feature of my life. I suppose the day I had to kill the paladin I mentioned was very disappointing.

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?

I think we both know the answer to that, don't we?

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted?

Obviously I am far from impervious to certain mind-affecting cleric spells. And I only tell you that because you've already discovered it, you dastard. No, I'm afraid the poker will not by any means (aargh!) persuade me on this point.

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?

No object? More or less everything, I think. Certainly every arcane scroll I could possibly find.

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?

It doesn't matter in the least. Whoever offers the greatest payment, advantage, or reinforcement of the character I maintain.

(Caladhain was rendered unconscious using a wand of Feeblemind followed by Deep Slumber prior to release far from the location at which the interview took place. The interviewer chose to relocate to the nation of Karrnath at that point. She has not been heard from again and is believed to be in hiding.)

((well now I hafta join in on the fun!))

Leon slumps into a chair looking at the interviewer with a combination of annoyance and reluctance. "Not sure why anybody would care for an interview, but fine, shoot."

Q: What is your given name?
"Ormollien Elanesse," Leon pauses a moment, then adds, "that's two L's in Ormollien, and two S's in Elanesse."

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. nicknames?)
"Leon."

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?
Leon pauses a long moment, thinking back. He opens his mouth several times then hesitates before finally saying, "Leaving home for the first time, yeah, although I did have many fond memories exploring the woods of Aerenal, getting out of that place was definitely the best. Especially once I became a member of a squad and started to make friends that didn't care about my last name."

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?
"Oh that's easy, the Phoenix for sure, usually in the upper loft."

Q: What is your favorite food and/or drink?
"Honey with Tea." Leon laughs to himself at an inside joke.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?
"Getting reacquainted with the Khopesh and spending more time in the woods, learning the lore of Rangers."

Q: Name one of your fears:
Leon goes blank for a few moments then says, "my friends reanimated as mindless zombies."

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?
"I have a couple close friends, Xymorel and Sal are probably the closest."

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?
"I allowed a suicidal elf challenge me to a duel in hopes that I would kill him. I am glad there were healers present who were able to prevent the idiot from finding his death he sought."

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?
"that's a silly question, anybody can get by without their feet, but who can live without their hands?"

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)
Leon sighs and is visibly darker as he hears this question, then answers in a short and quick reply, "nobles."

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?
"True love is a bit more complicated when you live 800 years, but Sallianna certainly provides a spark to my life."

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior,  etc.)
Leon grows more tense at this question, his tone very dark, "bloody necros."

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?
"My bow, preferably with a quiver full of magically imbued arrows."

Q: Do you have any living family?
"Yes, my mother recently passed on a few years ago, but my Father and my elder siblings are still very much alive last I heard."

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?
"Hug a necro."

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?
Leon quirks his brow at this question, then shakes his head, "wishes? We all know how Djini's mix up wishes, but if you insist, all Necromancers to lose their power. The wounds from the last war to be healed. And.... um... I dunno, eternal youth."

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?
Leon's face goes blank and he appears to be looking at something far off in the distance. The interviewer waits patiently for several minutes before waving a hand in front of Leon to break his daze. Leon finally blinks and says, "I... don't... don't want to talk about that."

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?
"The cleric Nuadia helped me put some of my past behind me... and helped me start meditating again."

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted? (Death by fire vs death by chocolate for example)
Leon sighs, "I don't like to talk about it really, but Alcohol. I am an Alcoholic, I let it run my life, and I tried to drink myself to death after I recovered from The Last War."

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?
"I should say something like donate to a vet's fund or something, but a really fast and crewed airship that could take me anywhere in the world, that would be nice to have... and make sure it's painted red!"

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?
"Don't really agree with a lot of what they think, but the silver flame point me in the direction of bloody necros up to no good."

(There's only the one interview chair. This doesn't seem to give the sisters pause. Xymorel scoots it back a few more inches and sits in it with her arms folded tightly. Xyries stands behind the chair, hands folded in front of her. For reasons unknown to the interviewer, Xymorel reads a powerful scroll of Resist Fire over her sister before the interview commences.)

Q: What is your given name?

Xymorel T-trannyth.

(From behind chair) Xyries Chorster.

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. Nicknames?)

Just Xymorel, usually.

(From behind chair) Xyries, or Cleric. NOT Miss.

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?

It seems like a long t-time ago now. I guess it really isn't, compared to all the elves I know... I think my favorite thing that I remember was reading with my p-parents. They had so many wonderful books. Still do, I hope.

(Xyries is silent.)

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?

At home, or s-sometimes at the Phoenix. (Xymorel pulls an obsidian stone from a belt pouch and begins to fidget with it, turning it over in her fingers.) Usually the Phoenix just has too many s-strangers. I mean, our house is busy, but mostly it's people I know, and if there are strangers there's still somebody I know to (Xymorel blushes) hide behind.

(From behind chair) On a typical day, or in many cases a typical night, I am working or at home. I am seldom able to relax elsewhere now.

Q: What is your favourite food and/or drink?

Anything s-sweet. I love spiced fudge, or ghallanda rations, or cookies...

(From behind chair) I often enjoy a cup of tea. (Listens to additional question.) Black.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?

I used to be very dependent on the Calm Emotions philtre to keep from, you know, setting people on fire. (Xymorel looks embarrassed.) I'm f-free of it now. That wasn't just me, I had a lot of help. (She holds up the obsidian.) My friend Terry gave me this to help keep me from biting my nails, too. S-still working on that.

(Xyries eyes the interviewer for a moment before saying) I am sometimes able to smile without physical discomfort now.

Q: Name one of your fears:

(Xymorel fidgets with the obsidian.) Knives, p-people who carry knives, mind spells, w-wizards who can cast mind spells, hobgoblins, beholders, fiendish lions, deep water, f-falling from great heights, mad people, that s-someone will hurt Xyries, that I'LL hurt Xyries... You know what, I d-don't like that question. (Xymorel raises a hand over her shoulder. Xyries clasps it at once, without a flicker of change in facial expression.)

(From behind chair) I'm often afraid one of my loved ones will successfully conceal an injury from me.

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?

I don't know. We have such a l-lot of friends now! I guess I spend the m-most time around Ondranar. And Gruumal. And Treycen. We don't see Leon quite as often now, which really isn't a bad thing, because he has Sal. I like Salianna.

(From behind chair) Master Palerose, I think. Possibly Terrance Drake.

(Both women listen to an additional question. Xymorel says:) But we're s-sisters. That's not the same as being friends. (She squeezes Xyries' hand. Xyries nods firmly.)

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?

(Xymorel's voice is very small.) Yes. But I d-don't want to talk about that.

(From behind chair) Once I forced a man to kill me against his will. I am not sure he has recovered from the psychological trauma it caused him.

(Xymorel looks over her shoulder.) What? You're talking about Reuken, aren't you? You n-never told me about that!

(Xyries shrugs.)

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?

Hands. I can s-still set things on fire with two stumps, but without feet, I can't run.

(From behind chair) It strikes me that you are describing a particularly incompetent cleric, if a cleric is meant, but I suppose I would choose my feet. Writing and fine motor coordination are necessary to my vocation.

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)

Our parents are s-scholars in Aundaire. I grew up in an academic home. They've never had a lot of money, but they do have lots of books and lots of friends who like to t-talk about books.

(From behind chair) I was raised by my aunt, the Vassal Denora Chorster, here in Stormreach. Her lifestyle was one of deliberate simplicity bordering on poverty. I voluntarily pursued a similar course until the introduction of many other people into my home made it necessary to add more of what I believe are sometimes called "creature comforts."

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?

Not yet. (Xymorel blushes.) I'm afraid to t-touch anyone without a powerful fire resist on them, even now. Our friend Treycen likes me, I think, but I'm not sure what will h-happen there.

(From behind chair) I love my friends and my sister. Of romantic love I am entirely incapable, or at least of the physical sensations that are supposed to accompany it.

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior, etc.)

I'm afraid of r-rogues more than other people. I can get over it when I get to know them, when I know they won't cut my throat when I'm not l-looking. (Xymorel fingers one of the layered scars on her throat, then goes back to turning over her obsidian stone with both hands.) I like paladins and fighters. They're b-both bad at sneaking up on things, and paladins make me feel brave.

(From behind chair) A Vassal of the Sovereign Host should be without prejudices. I strive to be so as much as I can. With that said, my home is heavily warded against the undead and against a couple of specific necromancers of our acquaintance.

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?

Really? You have to ask that? Fire, obviously. I know a l-lightning spell for if I get attacked by something f-fireproof, but I'm not as good at it.

(From behind chair) I use non-lethal incapacitating magic first when possible. If that fails, I have both a mace and an arsenal of more dangerous divine spells.

Q: Do you have any living family?

Our parents, and Xyries. Our grandparents died of natural causes when I was a t-teenager. I think my father's brother is still a professor in Aundaire somewhere.

(From behind the chair, Xyries nods agreement.)

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?

Absolutely. I wouldn't walk down a dark alley with a r-rogue I don't know... I wouldn't be completely alone with a w-wizard, other than Master Palerose... I wouldn't turn my back on a dark doorway... I wouldn't join a p-party of adventurers with a water s-savant... I wouldn't let anyone anywhere b-buy me a drink... Lots of things.

(From behind chair) There are many actions a Vassal must not take. I cannot deny that I have occasionally broken one rule when the alternative is breaking one I consider paramount.

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?

That p-people I love would always be taken care of. To never be afraid of anything ever again. After that, I don't know, world peace?

(From behind chair) I would wish for the capacity to cast the spell Miracle without penalties and the ability to successfully resurrect infants, who almost never return when Raise Dead spells are cast. (Xyries hesitates visibly.)

(Xymorel glances over her shoulder again.) It's about me, isn't it? G-go ahead. It's all right.

(Xyries nods.) I would wish for a spouse and a family for Xymorel. I am ten years older and we are both in hazardous occupations. I would not wish her to be alone when my eventual decease occurs.

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?

(Xymorel turns over the obsidian rapidly in both hands.) The day I ran away f-from University.

(Xyries is silent.)

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?

I don't know. I've been helped by a l-lot of people. Probably Xyries the most.

(From behind chair) My aunt. For good or ill, what I learned from her will never leave me.

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted?

You mean besides that I'm afraid of everyone? (Xymorel gnaws her lip.) Did I already m-mention fudge?

(From behind chair) I am sometimes unable to tell when I am bleeding internally. This has occasionally proved personally embarrassing.

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?

Some sort of f-fortress, I think. Something really hard to get into stealthily, but with a way for Xyries to get p-people inside when she wants to heal them, and a big kitchen for Bearer and for T-terry when he comes over, and a training room for all our friends who f-fight with weapons. And some more f-fireproof clothes. And a library for Ondranar Palerose. And a big living room with l-lots of soft chairs. You know what, actually I think that's a p-pretty big list of things. Can I write it down and g-get back to you?

(From behind chair) I would attempt to purchase the deed to my present home. I have every intention that the line of Chorster clerics ends with me, but I would like to be able to leave it to any offspring Xymorel might have rather than have it revert to the Church.

(Xymorel leans back, staring straight up at her sister.) What if I d-don't have any children?

(Xyries looks down with evident bemusement.) Then perhaps Master Palerose will.

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?

I don't really care. I've w-worked for all of them and gotten k-k- (Xymorel shakes her head, fingering the obsidian.) Gotten hurt about everywhere at d-different times. M-maybe I like House Kundarak a little better. Dwarves are very straightforward people. And they d-don't walk very softly.

(From behind chair) I am most comfortable working for the Temple of The Sovereign Host. Stormreach is a place of many gray areas. The Temple's work offers few. After the Church I suppose I would choose the Coin Lords. They represent a relatively benign civil authority, and I feel it is a cleric's duty to support that.

((If it doesn't feel like I'm spamming this too much, might do Sayata and Kerta later also.))

Q: What is your given name?
Nuadia Adandar. *sighs and waves the next question off* Yes, once it was ir'Adandar, not that I see how that matters. I chose to change it when I joined the church.

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. nicknames?)
I do not have one that everyone calls me. One friend or another tends to have their names or honorifics, but they vary. 'Gentle Cleric' from Ondranar. More recently, 'Pretty Eyes' from Mary. *shakes her head a little*

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?
*laughs softly* When I was a child, I grew up alongside the children of the people who worked my family's lands, and the child of a neighboring noble family. We had a little 'adventuring group' from the time we knew what adventurers were. Proudly, we called ourselves the 'Green Hill Band', and we had many adventures. Those summers, riding out over the hills, racing the horses, exploring the forests, are some of my favorite memories.

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?
If I am relaxing in the city, I am likely at the Phoenix, or occasionally the Bogwater. I enjoy riding outside the city to relax though. The Cerulean Hills remind me somewhat of home.

Q: What is your favorite food and/or drink?
A good roast of venison with gravy and mashed potatoes is probably my favorite meal. As for drinks, my father has recently taken to vintning. The red that comes from his grapes is my favorite.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?
*looks thoughtful a moment* I would not say I am very accomplished. Probably striking out on my own and coming to Stormreach. I have so many hopes for change here.

Q: Name one of your fears:
Being unable to help my friends when they need me most.

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?
At home, Tonyn and Thol. Tonyn and I were born just a few days apart and grew up together. He was always my closest friend. We've not spent much time together in the last few years though, with my joining the temple, and his getting married and having children... *realizes she's rambling a little and clears her throat* Here in Stormreach, I would say Nalinor and Shadanthe are closest to me.
I enjoy spending time with Ondranar Palerose as well... Smudge can always be counted on in a pinch, and Xyries is a good woman, though I have not seen her in some time.

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?
*looks like she is thinking way back* I do not think so... Not beyond the normal silly things we do as children before we really know their effects.

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?
*raises an eyebrow* This is a silly question. If my healer cannot do the other, I will either find one who can, or do it myself when I am able. That said, my feet. I can ride if I need to get somewhere, and I can fight and pray as well from horseback as I can on the ground.

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)
*chuckles* Nobility. Though, my family is a bit.. different than most.

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?
True love? *spreads her hands* As I am currently single, who is to say? But love, yes. It has never quite worked out, however. It seems they always end up marrying someone else.

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior,  etc.)
I try to keep an open mind and an even keel. There are a few things however, yes. Necromancy is one that I am biased against. As well as those who sit by idly and watch when someone is in pain, or in trouble, when they could easily do something to help.

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?
It depends entirely on the situation now, doesn't it? Some require wits and words, others require strong will, still others blunt weapons or slashing ones. I would need more information to answer that properly. That said, I am most comfortable with a longsword in hand and a prayer on my lips.

Q: Do you have any living family?
I do. My parents are both still living, as is my grandmother on my mother's side. I have two older brothers that are veterans of the Last War, and a younger sister who is attending the Arcanix. As well as a host of uncles and aunts, cousins, and a few nieces and nephews.

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?
Walk away from someone I can help.

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?
Hmmm. A difficult question. *taps her finger to her lips a moment, deliberating* For the changes I wish to see in the church to happen... Lasting peace in Khorvaire... Hmmm. The last one is difficult. I think... For Nalinor to find what he seeks, and that it be a good thing, and not more grief.

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?
I have been blessed that times of sadness are few in my life. Either when my grandfather died a few years ago, when Tonyn nearly died (that's another entirely long story), or when Tonyn married... Well, maybe not the last one. That was bittersweet. It is good to see him happy.

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?
My father, always. More recently, my mentor, the one who inspired me to join the church, and assured me that seeking change was not a bad thing.

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted? (Death by fire vs death by chocolate for example)
*smiles and laughs softly* I suppose I have been known to spread myself too thin. To put too much into too many people and projects, and have nothing left for myself. I'm unsure I would change that, though. I'm also weak to a good wine and cheese, or a fine horse.

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?
*shrugs* Homes for those who need them, food for those who are hungry. Perhaps a parcel of land with good grazing and stables for myself.

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?
I enjoy working for the Sovereign Host, for the most part. I've not really had trouble with the Coin Lords, either.

Ha! Forgot I did this for her already. Well, she has changed a bit in the past year. Matured. Still same at the base, but I've thought her story out further and put her through a lot. The more recent post on her reflects this more accurately.

((Because I feel like it... More truthful answers will be in parentheses after Kerta's responses. These she'd never say, but are more accurate responses.))

Q: What is your given name?
"Kerta. Last name, I gave myself. Fireheart." She nods proudly.

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. nicknames?)
"Don't have any nicknames. Kerta's short 'nuff." She lets out a little sigh at the interviewer's smirk and rolls her eyes. "Yeah yeah, go 'head and make the short jokes."

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?
Kerta pauses and thinks for a time, clearly unsure what to say. When she answers, her voice holds a convincing amount of excitement and fondness, but her eyes say something different. "Hoppin' the airship for the first time, when I was six. I stowed away on one bound for Sharn. It was an adventure!"

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?
Prob'ly at the Fuzzfoot's house, pickin' on Blinten. Once in a while at the Phoenix... There've been some types there lately though that I don' really want to see.

Q: What is your favourite food and/or drink?
Chocolates, or.. sweet cakes. Oh, and anything Mrs. Fuzzfoot makes, even vegetables.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?
She grins proudly. "Killed that bastard, Graw. World's much better without him."

Q: Name one of your fears:
"Fears? I'm not 'fraid of anythin'." She crosses her arms. "Got things I don't like, but I'm not afraid."

((She wraps her arms around herself and shudders a little. "Half-orcs, they're nothing but brutes. You can't trust one of em. And..." She rubs at a deep scar on her arm. "That they'll find me and make me a part of the house. I think that scares me more than the orcs."))

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?
She shrugs. "Probably Smudge or Blinten. I like Bell, shes's really neat, but she's kinda hard to get close to."

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?
She shrugs again. "I guess. Nothin' that bad though."

((Sneakin' off and leavin' home when I was so little. My parents were so excited that we were gonna be part of Jorasco. I'm kinda ashamed of disappointin' them.))

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?
Her eyes get a little wide. "See, this is why I stick to easy jobs, like bein' a..." She looks like she's trying to find a more polite word. "Lady, as Intay calls it. It's not near as dangerous. My feet I guess."

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)
She shrugs. "I dunno. I was born on the Plains, but we spent a lot of time in the cities too. We didn't have a lot, but we didn't seem to need a lot either."

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?
"Sure," She grins a lot more devilish of grin than one her age really should. "Lots of them. You could be one too, ya never know."

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior, etc.)
Half-orcs. I don't care how polite one may seem on the surface, they're all orcs inside. Eventually, the brute'll win out and you'll be in trouble. Don't like the houses much either.
Kinda intrigued by that Pearl place Lillypetal works at. Sounds like a really nice place. Maybe someday I can work there too.

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?

I'm not much of a fighter. I'm good at hidin', and I'm good at talkin' my way outta things. Smudge has been teachin' me a little self-defense though, like the stuff she used on Blinten when he tried to pull a knife on her once. So, I guess my hands.

Q: Do you have any living family?
"Yeah. I mean, I think so at least. Haven't seen 'em in about ten years. Mrs. Fuzzfoot kinda adopted me, so I guess I have another family now." She smiles a little at this.

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?

She looks uncomfortable. "Yeah... A few things."

((Again, she rubs at the scar on her arm. "Yeah. Join House Jorasco, or let them find me and take me away. My life is my own, not theirs."))

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?
Kerta looks thoughtful and then grins. "I'd wish for all the money I ever could want, enough to keep me and the Fuzzfoots, and Smudge in whatever we want. Umm.. Then maybe for the ability to cast spells. Bein' able to fly and stuff would be really fun. I'd save my third wish, I think, for if I really needed it."

((My third wish would be to get rid of the stupid mark. I didn't ask for it. I didn't want it. Yeah, sometimes it's useful if I get scratched up, but it's more trouble than it's worth. The kind of things it heals will heal in time anyway.))

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?
I dunno. I'm not usually sad. I guess maybe when I left home. That was kinda both sad and happy

(("When I  found out that the house would take me away from my family because of the mark, an' when they didn't seem to care, an' were all excited about it. Didn't care what I wanted or that I was gonna have to go." She bites her lip and turns away, until she can get her happy-go-lucky mask back up.))

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?
Eh, I dunno. I don't think anyone has really influenced me much. I kinda have made my own way. I guess Smudge if I had to pick someone.

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted?
I dunno. I guess I've been told I have a big mouth, an' I don't always think before I talk.

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?
I'd buy an airship, and a big house, and nice things for Mrs. Fuzzfoot. An' whatever Smudge wanted too.

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?

I don't really work for anyone. So, I dunno.

((Where answers vary from the former Ara and the new Ara, former Ara answers are in parentheses.

Q: What is your given name?
I am Arachan d'Lartil.

Q: What do others call you? (i.e. nicknames?)
Most call me Arachan. The elf Leon calls me "bloody necro", but obviously that is not my choice.

Q: What is your most fond memory from your youth or past?
*quietly* My marriage,  I think. (The day I married my wife, of course.)

Q: On a typical day, where in the city of Stormreach would one find you relaxing at?
I am a regular patron of the Phoenix Tavern, though I have been there less regularly of late. (Why would you want to know that? Those who have good cause to find me will do so easily enough.)

Q: What is your favorite food and/or drink?
Red wine is my favourite drink, I suppose, and I am rather fond of baked goods and fruits.

Q: Of all your accomplishments in recent days, what was your single greatest?
The defeat of the Banelord, perhaps, or releasing myself from death's grasp *grows quiet again* the first time. (The completion of my keep. It is quite the feat, both magically and architecturally.)

Q: Name one of your fears:
I'm... not sure anymore. (I fear nothing, for there is nothing that poses a threat to me, or those I take under my wing.)

Q: Who would you consider to be your closest friend?
I have grown somewhat apart from my friends recently, but Smudge, or Intayazz, or Ondranar, I suppose. (I do not have any particularly close friends; I keep everyone at arm's length.)

Q: Have you ever done anything that you are ashamed of?
Oh, yes. A great many things, I think. (No. What would give me cause to do something I would find embarrassing to myself?)

Q: You're in a terrible accident, and your healer has no regeneration spell available. Their skill can save some of you, but not all. Given the choice, would you rather lose the use of your hands or your feet?
I am capable of healing myself. *listens to another question* No, I am a mage, simply one of more skill and power than any others.

Q: Into what lifestyle were you born? (i.e. rich noble, poor, merchant family, etc)
Noble, but my family lost its status as a consequence of my birth, so a rich family high in honour to some, and lacking it to others.

Q: Have you ever found your 'true love'? Or any love for that matter?
Oh, yes. And lost it. It is said it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, but whoever said that had rocks for brains. (Yes. I did tell you I married, didn't I?)

Q: Do you have any bias towards anything? (hate elves, look down on necromancers, love all things of the warrior,  etc.)
I am not much fond of half-orcs, and I despise all that is evil, if you would call that a bias.

Q: In a dangerous situation, what is your weapon of choice?
Magic, of course. If it is neccesary, I am also quite capable with a blade.

Q: Do you have any living family?
Living? Yes, I've three sons and a daughter. (Yes. You'll not ask anymore about them if you are wise. *fingers the black staff he carries*)

Q: Is there anything that you would absolutely refuse to do?
There are a great many things I would refuse to do, but none that I would refuse to do to keep my family or friends safe. (There are a great many things I would refuse to do.)

Q: What would you wish for if you had a ring of three wishes?
I can make those, you know.

Q: What was the saddest day of your life?
That memory is still too near. No, I will not talk of it. (*gives the interviewer a look that makes it clear he is pushing it* When my wife was murdered.)

Q: Who or What has been most influential to you?
I am not much influenced by others, my ways are my own.

Q: Do you have any weaknesses - serious or lighthearted? (Death by fire vs death by chocolate for example)
My greatest assets are my greatest weakness. Love, power, and wisdom bring about more problems than one might think. (I have no weaknesses, my power is complete.)

Q: If money were no object, what would you buy?
Money is of little object when you have my position and power.

Q: Of all the factions of our city, what House or entity do you enjoy working for the most?
I work mostly for myself, but I will occasionally take a commission for some group's worthy cause.
