Gruumal rounded the bend in the street again. He knew he was lost, and knew he had been on this street before. But Mister Priest had taught him how to find himself, whenever he got lost. And so he was following that strategy. It's fine if you are going in circles, as long as you realize you are. He also made sure to keep in the middle of the street. It was after dark, and knew unsavory sorts were lurking in the shadows. Do not enter alleys. Do not follow people. Do not stop. Being over seven feet tall, and weighing well over three hundred pounds, there weren't many who would risk trying to rob him, without significant advantage. And while he wore a breastplate, there was nothing else on his person, that would say he had any sort of wealth. Normal breeches and leather boots. Nothing on his belt. Coin purse or weapons.

He turned another corner, when something caught his attention. A man was climbing a wall. "Prowler!" He roared. He knew honest folk didn't sneak on to people's roofs, after dark. And he would not stand by idly watching it happened. It took him only a few strides, of his long legs to reach the man.

It had been another long day, as Intayazz made his way to the harbour. He had been doing so for over a week now. Ever since Smudge confronted the halfling who had set up shop in his house. Which is what legally it now was, but Intay had no doubt that Sarvin would care about the legalities of who owned it. And now, he worried for Smudge's safety, and so he climbed on to the roof of the building, across the street from her, every night. She knew he did it, and thanked him for it. And he would continue until they had eliminated the man.

He was climbing the wall he had used since he first found it, when he heard the roar of 'Prowler'. He felt the wall shaking, as whoever yelled ran closer. Towards him, he realized.

He pushes off the wall, falling into a roll and kicking out a foot to trip the man. He may as well kick a large tree. His foot erupted in pain, and the man didn't even slow. He rolled to his feet, being careful about weight. At least it was his bad leg, he thought. Having to be light on both legs would've been hazardous.

As soon as he was up, the man was almost on him. Man, behemoth, more like it. Intayazz had seen half-orcs before, and knew this man to be one, but was unsure what the other half was. Giant perhaps? He had no time to ponder, dodging away, he called out, hoping to explain himself. It fell on deaf ears, and a powerful swing nearly met the side of his face. The force of the blow itself, knocked him off balance.

He fell in to a roll again. As he was rising, his ankle gave out, and he stumbled. The giant was right there, grabbing him with a massive hand, and raising him high into the air.

"I have you.. You are bad man!"

There was no hope of breaking free of the man's grasp. He could barely strike the man's elbows, if he wished, let alone any place that may have him released.

"I am Intayazz," he speaks slowly, hoping to calm the half-orc down, "I assure you, I am good."

"No!" Gruumal yells, "bad man.. sneak around.. Bad man break in house!" He points to the roof, Intayazz had made into his nightly home.

"I was not breaking in, I was getting up there, to keep watch over a friend," He answers. He  knew there was at least one half-orc, that worked for Sarvin, but doubted this was him. He was genuine in his concern for the residents of the building, he had been climbing.

'Why you need to.. watch friend?"

"To help protect her," Intayazz's answer causes Gruumal's face to shift completely. He loosens his grip and lowers him, though not completely.

"You protect.. friend? Who hurt friend? Gruumal protect.. Gruumal keep friend safe!" Gruumal spins, looking for anyone who could be dangerous to others.

"He's not around now, and that's what I am making sure of."

Gruumal nods, understanding, and places Intayazz down. Lights appear in some windows as the commotion begins to draw attention. Intayazz shifts his weight to his uninjured leg. He doubts that he will get to his perch tonight, but hopefully the episode brought too much attention to the area, for any potential threat to risk it tonight.

Or maybe it provided the distraction it needed. Intayazz frowns, and looks towards Smudge's apartment.

Gruumal looks to Intayazz, then to the surrounding buildings. He was looking for someone to protect. But the human was protecting his friend, so his friend didn't need him. Maybe the human needed someone to protect him, while he protected his friend? He wasn't sure. But he was still lost. So he looks around, trying to remember if he'd been here before, and get back to finding his way to his room.
