Following a particularly bloody raid on the small port town of Hammersdale, an ugly old sea hag placed a terrible curse upon the offending crew, "You must restore this town by triple the suffering you have caused it... Or, to Neptune's court at the bottom of the sea your next voyage will lead!" Many of the pirates greeted this hex with a roar of laughter and they continued merrily on their way pillaging and plundering poor Hammersdale.

Soon thereafter, when they did set sail again, a fierce storm began to brew. The waters raged, the winds howled, and a mighty whirlpool opened up in the midst of their formation. One by one, every ship sank into the center and disappeared into the sea. Then, the sky cleared, the waters calmed, and the entire fleet was gone without a trace.

Moments later the sailors awoke as if from a dream. They found themselves to be shipwrecked on strange and distant shores. Many soon discovered strange new powers and abilities which would help them to survive and perhaps find a way home.. others banded together and sought out to conquer their new surroundings. Scattered throughout the cosmos, time tossed and completely lost, they are now known as the Time Pirates!
