"It is true that in the future, you and the Klingons will be come fast friends; you will work together."

- Ayelborne, Organian
Welcome

Welcome to the Corps of Discovery.

This is the mission put to you:  to explore an expanse of unknown space, to chart the worlds you travel, to seek out what new life there might be, to befriend the peoples you might encounter, to keep a record of your journey, and to bring that knowledge home.  Good luck.

  -Admiral al-Sania, Starfleet command

Greetings, Federation Citizen!  You have accessed the public portal to the Corps of Discovery, a division of the UFP Starfleet!

This webpage is available to all members of the Corps of Discovery.  Even if you aren't a member, we still encourage you to look around our general forums because we always like to hear from other people.  The only thing we ask is that all comments made on this site are respectful of others, in keeping with the general attitude of Star Trek.

If you are a member of Corps and have come to this site for the first time, please start by registering at the top.  Once you have been cleared by Fleet Command, you will have access to member exclusive parts of this site.  Once you register, you should make sure your character is entered correctly in the roster so we know who you are; if you are using a Guildportal account name, please change your forum handle to the name of your character.

We look forward to seeing you around the Quadrant!

We have moved!

coreth, Nov 20, 11 11:20 AM.
Due to declining interest in the web site for the Corps, we've let the site revert to a "free" status, with all the attendant limitations thereof.

The Corps in-game will continue to exist; there's no reason to disband it when some players are still making use of it.

People visiting the site will have noticed that the conversation has widened to pretty much a variety of topics, non-Trek related.

All of these details have come together to prompt us to move to a new web site-and a new host.  We have taken back the name "Hyperspace Outlaws" due to the history a portion of us have with the name, and it is located on GuildLaunch.  While it has a TOR theme to it, the intent is that this site be open to conversation and activity for any games any of us may be involved in, whether it's LotRO, CoH, DCUO, STO, TOR, or any acronym you care to name; for that matter, we even have discussions on single-player games (Skyrim is popular right now).

See the sticky in our general announcements forum to see where the site is and how to join if you want to join the conversations (although you'll find that posting is available even for non-members for our more general talk).

Back...to the FUTURE! (Well, the past of the future anyway)

coreth, Nov 7, 10 9:37 AM.
Bill, Kaian, Seven, and Sevoria traveled back to the past of Drozana Station to investigate the Devidian activity there!  The team managed to limit the damage to the timeline to only one unconscious ensign (she had it coming-she wouldn't move away from the console!), even though they interacted with one of the greatest legends of Starfleet history.

Some images of things before it got complicated.

Star System Map added to the site!

coreth, Oct 14, 10 11:07 AM.
It isn't the most pretty thing on the world, but we've added in a new "Star System Map" site page.  You'll see it on the left menu, between Fleet Roster and Personal Messages.  You'll see options to zoom the map in or out as you require.  The right hand menu also can open up a list of the sector blocks, sectors, systems and starbases-all sortable, and if you click on a location the map will zoom to that spot!  So if you need to find a location in-game that isn't in your current sector block, the map here can help you find your way!

It's Cold Outside!

coreth, Sep 6, 10 10:57 AM.
It's been a while since we've been able to put up something worthy of a news post, but with the coming of the weekly episodes, we've had something not seen for a while:  a full team of Corps members working on a goal!

In this case, it was the second episode of the Breen arc!

Seven, LST808, Ashtan, Tony and Walt went headlong against the Breen, and came out on top.  The Breen may be continuing to cause trouble for the Deferi, but as representatives of Starfleet, the Corps managed to free Deferi prisoners and irritate one of the Breen leaders to swear eternal vengeance upon us (or something like that; it's all white noise eventually.  :) )

We expect to be there again at 2PM Eastern/11AM Pacific this coming Saturday to do the next part!  Come join us!  If we have more than 5, you can be sure we'll be glad to do multiple run throughs until everyone's had a team to work with!

Some peeks:

Rebirth of Personal Messages

coreth, Mar 23, 10 12:25 PM.
Members who are astute will notice that we once again have a "personal messages" section in our left menu.

Turns out, the GP folks were getting a heap of complaints about it, and some people were even unable to make the new mail service even work.  So they've rolled back to the original version, thus necessitating the recreation of our mail page.

It's always something around here, isn't it?
