The Peoples' Militia

On the evening of Sunday May 7th, the Peoples Militia discovered that certain magical items were being used to control or send suggestions to people in Stormwind. One of these items came into our possession and it has been thoroughly studied by those adept in the arcane as well as dark arts. Archbishop Benedictus himself has also investigated them and it was he who has come up with a means of protection for the Militia.

The Archbishop, a close personal friend of my father, Lord Percival Ravensword, has placed a special and powerful blessing upon new insignias which are to be distributed to all members of the militia.

Tyarna Duskheart has reported being assaulted three times by Furblogs in Stormwind.

The first attack took place at around 17:00 on Monday 20th March in the Trade District. The second attack a few minutes later after she fled to the Mage District and the final attack in the Cathedral Square.

The militia are investigating the case and urge all citizens to be on the look out for Furblogs who may have been involved in a fight. They are not to approach these creatures but seek a member of the militia as they may be dangerous.

In addition the militia are seeking a vital witness who aided Miss Duskheart in the Mage District. The only details we have at the moment is that he is male and wore a purple robe with a hood. Have you seen a man matching this description? Let the militia know.

Any information that you have should be passed to any member of the militia or you may directly contact Sergeant Major Gawain Ravensword who is overseeing the investigation.

The big news of this week was the awaited trial. Commander Nightingale and Sergeant Joltspark brought forth their points brilliantly, in a battle of wit. In the end, the Honorable Judge Commander Doddz declared Tom Ritéll, AKA Quiltain, guilty of the charges of three murders. He though shocked the crowd, by letting Quiltain run free, after proclaiming how the criminal must've been possessed or controlled.

Commander Nightingale gave her official stance on the case to the press afterwards. She commented "Commander Doddz is a just man, and we trust his judgement in this case. The Militia will be looking out for Ritéll though, keeping the people safe from him."

Commander Doddz wouldn't comment on the case, and his guards escorted him away soon after the verdict.
