The third annual Patron Day event was hosted by HGS, Lona', Celox, and Xana'the June 18^th, 2009. Patron Day is a 'Themed holiday', according to Pex's Holiday Player Events Guide. A themed holiday is when players celebrate real world holidays with a Star Wars Galaxies™ with an In-Character twist. Patron Day is not official Star Wars canon. However the aspect of Father Tree, which is used in this storyline is canon.

Patron Day celebrates fatherhood andparenting by males, and to honorand commemorate fathers andforefathers. Patron Day is celebrated on avariety of dates galaxywide,and typically involves gift-giving tofathers and family-orientedactivities. In recent years, merchants haveadapted to the holiday bypromoting male-oriented gifts such aselectronics, tools and droids.Schools and other children's programscommonly have activities to makeFather's Day gifts.

The Father Tree was the tallest tree on the forest moon of Endor and was worshipped as a deity by the Ewoks. The tree was protected by the Grudakk, a large creature who lived in a burrow under its roots. Logray, shaman of Bright Tree Village, possessed a branch from the Father Tree that he used to call upon the spirit of the Father Tree.
