When and how did your player association get started?
Holowood Galactic Studios was born on Sunday night, March 5, 2006 - thesame night as the 78th Annual Academy Awards at the Kodak Theatre inHollywood, California. There were only two people in the guild at thetime: Nallu and Marlon (plus their alts).
Its in-characterreason for existing is that it's an entertainment "Studio". The guild'sstoryline and inspiration came from the 2005 King Kong movie directedby Peter Jackson. Nallu and Marlon role played a company that traveledto exotic places to film the best movie scenes. Nallu was a holoactressand Marlon was her Manager whom everyone called "Big Boss Mar" or "BBM".
On July 20, 2008 HGS transferred to Starsider. HGS' humble roots beganout of the Lucky Despot on Tatooine, where in-character interviewswhere conducted. It wasn't long after the transfer to Starsider thatthe Studio settled on Corellia.

The Studio does its best to remain out of the Galactic Civil War.Allegiance to a particular faction is bad for business and cuts offwork opportunities. However, there are individual Imperial loyalistsand Rebel sympathizers secretly embedded within the Studio. Some membersuse celebrity staged rivalry, petty holonet tabloids, or simply playdumb to distract the Imperial authorities and or Rebel intelligencefrom their true motives.
