How to lose a level in a day ...
Riverwind Teapot, a half-elf Ranger, and Aumelil Teapot, a dark-elf Shadowknight, were walking in Thurgadin when Aumelil pointed to a pit by the main bridge."What's that? Where does that go?"Riverwind paused and looked down for a moment into the ice-covered darkness. "Beats me. Looks far down though."Suddenly, the ice broke and Riverwind fell to the bottom of a dark pit with no way out - except for a small tunnel carved into the wall. "You okay down there?" Aumelil shouted."Yeah, I'm fine," Riverwind yelled back. "I'm going to see if I can get out this way. Stay there."Riverwind zoned into icewell keep and started to sneak around. Suddenly, a frost spike and a frosticube rushed up and began to pound upon the hapless elf. Running quickly for his life, he got confused and died in the middle of nowhere."Crap!" Aumelil laughed, a hearty dark elf laugh filled with sinister overtones. "You died, didn't you?""Yep," Riverwind said. "I'll go get my corpse and port out of here."What followed was a time filled with sadness, darkness, and death - with Riverwind dragging, being caught, and dying ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 ... 5 ... 6 ... 7 ... 8 ... 9 ... 10 ... 11 corpses. And with no cleric capable of an XP-regaining rez, Riverwind sobbed to realise that he went from 80% XP at level 65 to 85% XP at level 64.As Riverwind contemplated the loss of all his good stuff, and Aumelil commiserated with his half-brother's misfortune, a shout thru the zone brought hope to all."HORDE!!!!" Portaparty shouted. "I'll drop down and port you out."Riverwind shuddered. "Drop down and zone East quickly or you'll aggro a spike.""No problem," Portaparty shouted. "I'm dropping now..."And he did ... and the spike followed ... and what happened next was more death and despair - and two dead Hordelings.Portaparty sighed to himself. "Huh. Let's try that again." And they did - and this time, the rescue went flawlessly, both got their gear, and ported safely out of Icewell Keep, a bit wiser, and certainly in awe of the tortures of the Dain.And Aumelil? He got to talk to Dain Frostweaver IV, who was impressed that a dark elf came to visit. And he also learned this truth - good folks are insane. Thanks Porta!!! I appreciate the rescue very much!
I'm sure I have something worthwhile to say.

When you want something done right, send a druid!
Also, don't be afraid to ask for help around death 5. I'm sure alliance would have helped. If nothing else, a good laugh would have been had.
