Any Player Wishing To Join SaD Should Consider The Following:
We are a guild of adults.  Most of us are over 21 and you will be expected to act as such.  Though it is possible to get in if you are 13-14, it probably won't happen.  Guild members are expected to have a real life outside of the game.  If all you do is play WoW, then you should probably get a life, a job, or an education.

Raid Team Applicants:
We are moving through the T10 content and applicants who wish to raid should be geared / skilled accordingly.  Recruits are expected to have an appropriate set of fully enchanted / gemmed epic gear (item level 245 or better) and be fully proficient with all aspects of their class.

An application must be posted on the forums in the guild application sub-forum. 

Damage:
If you can't do at least 3000 dps, we probably won't even consider you (cause tanks and healers get pissed if they do more damage than you do).  Raid members are expected to sustain 4500 dps in most fights in addition to keeping mobile though 5000+ is preferred.  If you can't at least out damage the prot warrior, then you really suck!

Healing:
Healers are expected to have at least 2500 +healing un-buffed, 450 mp5 or better while casting, and mana such that you can sustain your healing through a 10 minute boss fight (at least 20,000 mana).

Tanks:
Tanks should have over 40,000 hp unbuffed, and 25,000 armour.  540+ defense is an obvious must.

Specific Classes:

Druid:
We have minimal need for druids at this time (unless you are a healer)
Spec doesn't matter but you better be pretty damn good (especially if you plan on going feral)

Mage:
We have minimal need for mages at this time.

Paladin:
We can always use more paladins (any spec if you are good)

Priest:
we have minimal need for priests unless you are healing disc / holy is fine.

Rogue:
We don't particularly need rogues... unless you can whoop a death knight in damage. (that means over 4500dps MINIMUM)

Shaman:
You can never have too many shaman I always say, especially if you are resto.

Hunter:
We have minimal need for additional hunters unless you really kick ass

Warlock:
We have minimal need for additional warlocks.

Warrior:
We have minimal need for additional warriors unless you are prot and geared.

Death Knight:
We have minimal need for additional death knights unless you do 4500dps or more or are a geared tank.

Some exceptions are made for family members of senior guild members or if you impress the hell out of us.

Failboat:
This means you probably screwed up somewhere and are temporarily assigned to sit on the Failboat until you calm down and an officer has a chance to work out the problem with you.  Usually, a trip on the Failboat lasts only a short time but in extreme cases, you will be riding the Failboat until an officer review board can discuss what to do about your poor conduct.  Failboat has no access to guild chat or to the bank and is also used as a safety when we suspect your account has been hacked or if someone is trying to mess with your character.

In Progress:
This means you are either new to the guild or that we aren't certain who you are because your guild notes aren't labeled properly. Either way, we are giving you a chance to prove yourself and see how well you can handle being in our guild.

Alts / Casual:
This is a rank for people to put their alts in as well as the casual players who are just there to hang out.  We expect you to behave yourself and represent us well in your dealings with other people outside the guild but there really aren't any requirements beyond good behavior.  We enjoy having our friends around... that's why we play this game in the first place.  This is also a rank for people who are still leveling up.

Solidarity:
This is our standard guild rank with full guild benefits.  Some people don't want to raid hard core and that's just fine with us.  You won't have a priority spot for raid invites, but don't have any raid responsibilities either.  As long as you behave in guild chat and represent us well among outsiders, you will be an honored member of SaD. 

3 Year Veteran:
This means you have been in SaD for 3+ years and are considered a veteran of the guild.  Veteran members are not officers but their opinions carry a lot of weight and will be available to help the newer guild members with their problems.

Staff:
These are veteran members assigned to specific tasks assisting officers in their duties.  Some Staff members are assigned to help Bob and the Assistant GM's with long term tasks.  Finally, Staff is a place for veteran officers to take a break from active responsibility if their real life situations get busy or if they simply get burned out.  We encourage a healthy rotation of officers and a division of authority so no one gets everything dumped on their plate.  Staff members get access to officer chat but no other officer permissions unless their specific job requires it (in which case they are usually promoted back to officer rank until their task is done).

Officers, Assistant GM, GM, etc:
We pretty much run the show and hold the guild together and deal with all the bitching and whining and stuff.  Try to make our jobs easier by not being dicks to each other.  Many of us have been friends in real life for 5-10 years so don't try going behind our backs, odds are we talk on the phone each night.

Each Officer and Assistant GM has authority over a specific set of tasks.  It takes a lot of work to run a guild and a detailed list of officers and their jobs is being created.  Since officer jobs and positions change from time to time, the list will be updated as often as possible.

THE GUILD RANKS IN WOW REPRESENT A SET OF COMMON PERMISSIONS (bank access, chat access, invites and promotions, guild message of the day, etc).  THEY DO NOT DIRECTLY REPRESENT GUILD HEIRARCHY OR CHAIN OF COMMAND!




Specific Officer Ranks In Detail:

Guild Master
Bobtheorc (or Gateway)
Bob is in charge charge of overall guild direction and policy.  Bob oversees the officers and makes sure they do their jobs.  Bob is also the only one with gkick ability and will oversee an officer review if someone really screws up. 

Assistant Guild Master:
Timthepriest (Truehand)

Raid Coach:
Zechs
Zechs is responsible for the tactical operations during boss fights.
Zechs is responsible for all melee damage classes.
Zechs is responsible for coordinating loot priorities for all melee damage classes before raids.
Zechs is responsible for raid mats and guild bank.


Defensive Spellcasting Coach:
currently open position (usually covered by Truehand in a pinch)

Offensive Spellcasting Coach:
Position currently open
sometimes covered by Otis (though Otis is not in SaD, if he suggests you do something in a raid, you should probably do it).  Otis is not an active officer which means he is not responsible for putting up with your bullshit but he will be happy to kick you from vent. 


Assistant Spellcasting Coach:

Recruitment / Communications Officer:
Grogzor is currently our noob filter.  He also invites people to the guild on occasion.

General Officer:
We have several general officers and staff.  They will help you get things out of the bank and answer questions and assist with disagreements.  Please don't be a dick to them, they are here to help you.
