Sunsets and Ethermeres
Greetings and Salutations though it appears that the appropriate saying should be ‘Safe Journeys and Prosperous Adventures’. The time has come and gone, the sun and moons have stopped turning. The end has happened and Al’Kabor is no more.
There are so many people, both present and past, that need to be acknowledged for all the contributions and services that they have given in hopes of bringing and keeping a fantastic idea and ideal maintained that is and was Pathfinders of Al’Kabor.
Thank you one and all for making Norrath and Everquest more enjoyable and truly being more than companions but friends. From the first guild leader to the last, from the first officers and advisors to the last, for all the raids, the helping on quests, and simply making deaths more tolerable and sometimes fun. The most important thing in a guild is it’s members. Pathfinders had the very best of members and as is appropriate, thank you for sharing your experiences and selves and allowing everyone to do the same. Thank you for making this guild and game such a great experience, an escape, an adventure, so addicting and for everyone of us this guild had a very simple name, Home.
Perhaps the best way to express what all this game means and has given to so many is to quote Tolkien:
Roads go ever ever on,
Over rock and under tree,
By caves where never sun has shone,
By streams that never find the sea;
Over snow by winter sown,
And through the merry flowers of June,
Over grass and over stone,
And under mountains in the moon.
Roads go ever ever on
Under cloud and under star,
Yet feet that wandering have gone
Turn at last to home afar.
Eyes that fire and sword have seen
And horror in the halls of stone
Look at last on meadows green
And trees and hills they long have known.
Thank you again for everything and I hope that wherever the road does take you that you have a Safe Journey and Prosperous Adventures with Old Friends and you make New Ones easily.
