I did not have a lot of shots from Winterveil this year, but here are some from both December and January.  I am getting closer to catching up!  I expect to at least have February's up next week.

Hope you enjoy our adventures!

Better late than never?

I finally got off my tail and compiled the screenshots I have from November.  I hope you enjoy!  The next issue should be shots from the recent Azeroth 500 race.  After that issue I hope to do a Winter Issue covering the months of December, January, and February.  Hopefully I will keep the issues current after that.  Pictures are like oats:  they almost are never too old to enjoy and there are never enough!

Below is Mootonka's full report to The Herd:

Dimmi and I were sitting at the pond last night under the tree, doing what Dimmi and I do at the pond, and we noticed something odd happening by the inn.   There were a lot of dwarf sized creatures moving around, pacing back and forth or something. The Bluffwatchers seemed aware of it so Dim and I did not worry too much at first.  But when there were like 12 or more of the dwarves all at once and then they were all gone at the same time it seemed too odd to be good. We walked into the Inn, intending to talk to Innkeeper Pala.

To our amazement there was a hole cut into the back of the Inn, just tall enough for a dwarf to pass through!  We found Pala knocked out, bloodied and tied up in the corner, under the stairs!  We knew we needed to rouse the Innkeeper Pala quickly so Dimmi, never one to waste, threw back her head and gulped her drink down before running for some pond water to fill her mug.  Dim ran back and threw the pond water in Pala’s face.  Pala started to come to and she uttered a few words we could understand.  Baine….mead…storage...Baine…angry…  We called to Bulrug, the stable master to come care for Pala as Dimmi and I looked at each other and ran upstairs to the area used to store all of Baines favorite things.

The kodo hides used as covers were scattered about.  BAINES THINGS HAD BEEN STOLEN!!!!!!  We searched the area and found these things: [Wiry Tail Hair], [Fur Clothing Scraps] and [Cracked Iron Staff].   Also, they foolishly left a corner of a section of a map. There areas on it were not familiar to Dim and I  so we called out to our friends in the Blacktooth Grin for help.

The Grin have many that have traveled far and wide.  They knew the area and pointed Dimmi and I in the right direction.   It was a wild, rough and adventurous journey but we found some of Baines things!  Dim and I stealthed about and listened to the chatter of the dwarves there.

Baines things that they took last night will not arrive at this location until next Sunday as it is all brought in by pack mule and it is deep in enemy territory.  So much is there, great casks of mead, bundled bags of grains and oats, all with the seal of Baine on them.  We need to go and recover these things for our leader!

The Clan called upon our long-time allies, Blacktooth Grin, to help us retrieve our goods.  We traveled to the far frozen lands of Northrend where we picked up the trail of the thieves.  This led us to Blue Sky Logging Grounds, where we had to quickly hop a logride down to the coast.  Finding out the secret location of the thieves'  lair, the raid group surrounded them, took out any resistance, and gathered the Thunder Bluff supplies.  Taking them to a safe port via the turtleboats, Thunderhoof and the Grin celebrated a bit with a quick dance and a little of the mead from the supplies.

Thanks to Mootonka for organizing this, and to Dimmi and Dakini for helping out.  Thanks to Bloodwaalker for submitting many of these screenshots.

For the Herd!

Shu'Halo Life has finally gotten around to fixing the printing presses and plan to issue the backlog of photos we have for November and December very soon.  October's issue had actually been done in time, but never was distributed.

There have been many of our Herd who's path has led them from the green plains of Mulgore over the last few months of 2011.  We wish them all well.  For those of us still protecting Mulgore, the Herd stands tall as always.

I also want to remind everyone about our videos available for viewing here:  Tauren Video Network

I wish you all the best for this new year.

Fall is in the air.

September was a pretty good month.  Several large scale attacks against Alliance targets with Dragonmaw Vanguard and Point Blank were a success.  Thunderhoof also managed to fulfill Baine's promise to supply Orgrimmar with food and water.  THUNDARENA! was amazing with some of our new initiates really pouring on the power.

I hope October can step up and be even better.
