All subscription packages auto-renew every 6 months via PayPal. You can cancel your subscription at any time through PayPal, and the subscription will run until the end of the 6 months.

Sites created after 1/25/2010 will notice that the Silver Package is not available when creating a new subscription. This is due to a change in how new guild creation was modified to allow for the entry and use of a custom domain from the start, with no charge. The reason for the change was to make it easier for people to get their members to their web site and active from the beginning. The reason the Silver Package is being phased out is because it no longer offers compelling value over the Gold Package when custom domains are now available across the board. This does not affect existing sites, even if they cancel and manually re-start their subscriptions.
